Positive: This is a small bit of paradise. Ivana and her husband are some of the nicest people we have ever met. So much nicer than you expect. Perfectly done rooms. Don’t bother booking anywhere else - this is the place you’re looking for.

Positive: Amazing room in wonderful garden. The hosts were very nice and helpfull. I can highly recomend it to all who want to spend few nights on Stromboli Island. I've probably never been to such a peaceful place that invited me to rest.

Negative: The room has no air-condition, BUT you probably don't need it, because it's pleasant temperature in the building and also you can use fan, if you need.

Positive: There was nothing we could fault. Our host Franco could not do enough for us. Although no meals were included there was always fresh coffee, crackers and always an invitation to share his table. The room was very comfortable with a gorgeous sitting room and private verandah to enjoy the quietness of his magnificent garden. It has a very homely feel and we loved Franco's choice of italian songs playing in the background in the afternoon whilst we drank our coffee and enjoyed the gentle rumbling of the volcano. The location was within walking distance to all restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. The island is small so the atmosphere is very communal where everyone knows each other.

Negative: We could not fault anything. We believe that sometimes mosquitos could be a problem but there was plenty of repellent and anti mosquito plugs on hand although we had no problem.

Positive: We liked everything. La Rosamarina is a little paradise on a special island. The garden is just beautiful, and the bungalow we rented was nicely decorated. Ivana and Franco are wonderful hosts, very friendly and well-informed. The beach is 150 m away, and the village is a 10 min walk. We were only two days on Stromboli, but I can imagine that if you would like to be “off the grid” or need to “de-stress” for a while (or write a book, for example), this is the perfect place.

Summary: Just wonderful.
