Positive: Lovely traditional stay with a large room. Amazing views of the lake from the breakfast and restaurant area. Breakfast was good with a few choices. Good air con and a hot shower. Large flat screen TV and very fast internet. 5 min walk to the main square. Staff all lovely and courteous. There was a bus to the port but we walked about 40 mins. If you walk to the restaurant to the right not the main port. There are Lanchers to the right. We recommend Antonio great boat and cheaper.

Negative: Arrived after a difficult day travelling and waited over an hour after check in time for room to be ready.

Positive: Adorable property with some rooms that overlook the lake. Restaurant food was above average. We stayed in one of the Villa rooms - modest up charge that was worth it. Nice patio overlooking the lake - we bought a bottle of wine and enjoyed sunsets.

Negative: Grounds are a bit tired. Service was a bit slow but that seems to be average for El Salvador. No hot water in shower

Positive: This lovely hacienda was absolutely perfect for us in every way. We had two huge beds in a family-sized duplex bungalow with private parking at the end of a semi-private path lined with ornamental plants and beautifully lit up with tiny lights at night. The beds were super comfortable and the shower was great. Our room had multiple ceiling fans and an A/C, but we didn't need either. Our room came with its own private garden outside our back door, with a comfortable sitting and working area surrounded by huge mature plants and an unbelievably gorgeous view over lake Suchitlan and the surrounding rural countryside. Our typical Salvadorean breakfast on the terrace of the associated restaurant was incredibly delicious, and featured more gorgeous views. The entire compound is at the very end of the road, very near to the historic town center but quite secluded and quiet, with huge grounds, including a lovely garden and a swimming pool. There were lots of birds, which were fun to watch. With so much space and so much privacy all at the same time, it felt like a getaway that could be perfect for a small wedding or family reunion. What we loved most is that it felt so typical and not touristy at all.

Negative: It was perfect in every way!

Positive: It was quiet, the rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean There was a lovely pool, shady court yard with fountain. Staff were super friendly and helpful. It was a lovely oasis in elegant surroundings.

Negative: The swimming pool was fequently taken over by groups for the entire day so not so peaceful anymore.

Positive: Spectacular view of the lake from the room and the restaurant. Old world feel. Room and bathroom were very spacious. Nice pool. Quiet and tranquil area of town but still walkable to town center.

Negative: bathroom drain clogged.
