Positive: The bed & breakfast is nearby a metro station that takes you directly to the centre of Lille in about 20 minutes. The place is recently renovated, with great attention to the detail and esthetics.

Negative: Please note that they will ask you to pay (by bank transfer) the total amount of the reservation a few days before your arrival. This is not indicated on Booking. I was not that happy to pay before seeing the place and the room.

Positive: We had a lovely stay in La Porte Rouge. Our hosts were very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. The house is unique, beautiful but comfortable. The breakfasts were superb - all home-made and served to perfection. Nathalie helped us make the most of the area including the local park and good restaurants. We couldn't have had a better stay.

Positive: This is a beautiful b&b with a beautiful garden, very comfortable and with welcoming and accommodating owners. Everything was perfect from breakfast and rooms to facilities. Would definitely stay again.

Negative: For those with cat allergies, a cat is present on the premises. Might be an issue for some folks, especially cuz the cat walks everywhere, including the kitchen counter, sink etc. where food for guests is being prepared. I found the kitchen to be a bit unsanitary in general. Nothing against cats but I found this a bit odd.

Positive: Nathalie was just a superb host My room was uber cool, shower was great coffee machine in the room was a nice touch Breakfast was on point every day and was lovely to see great hosts at work.

Negative: Nothing not to like utterly fabulous place to stay

Positive: Very good stay. Enjoyed the breakfast, Nathalie's hospitality, house design, and most importantly CLEANLINESS of the room is clean. Water provided and all essentials provided.

Negative: Enjoyed the breakfast, but maybe having a little more meat like bacon or sausages would be nice too. Noise from room next to street.
