Positive: The property is beautiful and peaceful and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. It was a good base for a day trip to Paris and also exploring the surrounding towns and countryside.

Negative: The owner’s dog bit my daughter’s foot as she was sat outside eating pizza at the garden table. Fortunately she was wearing sturdy walking shoes and not sandals so she wasn’t hurt, however, the shoe’s upper received 2 punctures through the leather & goretex liner.

Summary: Pleasant except for the dog bite.

Positive: Absolutely fabulous accommodation for family of four with dog!! Gorgeous apartment with beautiful views, everything you need for self catering and loads of eateries close by. Positive: St Joseph is a fabulous old château, full of charm and character with the accommodation, kitchen and bathroom very well furnished. We loved the flow of the rooms and the beautiful courtyard gardens, plus the owner (Regis) was super welcoming and helpful and patient with my super limited French :). Easy direct train ride into Paris Gare du Nord (45 minutes) for our visit to the Olympics
