Summary: From our arrival to our departure, Eric the host, could not have been more helpful. The property is easy to find at the end of a small lane with extensive grounds. Eric had prepared a list of recommended restaurants in the area, which is helpful. The room was quiet and spacious. Breakfast was great, with everything being supplied by local producers, which is great to see. Would stay again - thank you!

Summary: 5 rooms in a private house in the country about 5 miles north of Fougeres. Very friendly owner who speaks English and is very accommodating. We had one of the 4 rooms on the first floor which was a reasonable size and en-suite and had some quirky individual furniture. Nice garden setting for sitting out, although access is down some steep steps. There is a self contained unit in the garden that looks good. I have been travelling to France for the past 40 years and I must say the breakfast at Janaie is the best I have ever experienced. Superb local bread made with Sarrasin flour, good croissants & pastries, local cheese & ham, homemade jams, fresh fruit, superb "blood orange juice and good coffee.
