Positive: We really enjoyed our stay at La Maison de l’Ecu. Sandrine was such a warm and charming host. She was prompt to answer all our questions prior to the trip and sent us great suggestions for restaurants and activities in the area. On the day of arrival she was in communication with us and made the check-in process really smooth. She left us delicious local treats and beautiful flowers from the garden, we appreciated all the thoughtful touches. The house is beautifully designed with panoramic views of the valley and vineyards. It was amazing to wake up to the peaceful surrounding. It was well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is just 5 minutes drive to the city center. We loved winding down with some wine in the evenings on the patio with the incredible view. Sandrine and her husband also own one of the oldest wine shops in Beaune, would highly recommend checking it out! We hope to return to Maison de l’Ecu in the future.

Positive: A recently modernized, well-appointed and very clean property located steps from vineyards and a short walk from a woodland area with well-maintained trails. The view of Beaune just down the hill is lovely, day and night. Sandstone was very responsive and helpful.

Negative: All bedrooms are upstairs and the only access is a narrow staircase with two 90 degree turns. Not a problem for us, but would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. The washer/dryer combination is too small and slow to be useful.

Summary: A nice stay in a great location in the heart of the wine country.

Positive: Just a few minutes by car into Beaune or a 30 minute walk thro the glorious countryside. The new house and garden have been very thoughtfully put together and to a high standard, showing the personal input of the owners at every stage. Like a 5 star hotel in terms of comfort and furnishings and far superior to most local hotels. Excellent reception by the owners who run a successful wine merchants in town, demonstrated by the choice of bottles in the specialist wine fridge. We will be back in the summer. Even in November, it was special.

Negative: Hard to fault. It is not in town of course but very accessible with v good parking for 2 cars. Quiet. Quick cab ride if you are drinking in Beaune. Proper outside terrace for 8 people dining or 6 inside. So scope for cooking if you wish.

Positive: The property is very new and all the furniture and fixtures are of top quality. Everything looks clean and tidy and we were very happy that there are air conditioners in all the rooms ! (As our group are a bunch of Asians , air conditioning is very important !)

Negative: Nothing really.

Positive: This house was in a fantastic location, surrounded by beautiful vineyards. The house was perfect for our family of six and was immaculate. The host met us on arrival and gave us our keys she also had some local treats and champagne for us to try. The hostess also provided us with many suggestions for restaurants, local butchers, cheese shops and supermarkets. She also provided us with a list of places/things to do.
