Positive: Lovely small French hotel with huge rooms and a comfortable bed. We had a quiet room around the pool which we enjoyed. Used uber to get around. Great staff and indulgent breakfast which included chocolate croissants. Took the hotels restaurant recommendation and went to country Colombo which was great. We loved this small hotel.

Negative: We did eat in the restaurant one night during our stay and were slightly disappointed in the quality, considering the price.

Positive: This is an oasis of calm in a (wonderfully) frantic city. It is a short tuktuk ride from the middle of town and the beach. But sitting around the pool with breakfast it's hard to believe there's anything else out there. Staff are without exception outstanding; Dilshan gets a particular shout out. Christophe sat patiently with us for some time sharing with us the knowledge he has gained from working and living in Colombo, which we are benefitting from still as we continue our travels. Our room was gorgeous; we have just spent good money on a beautiful shower at home but this was much bigger and better !

Negative: Absolutely and genuinely, nothing.....

Positive: The staff were friendly and very accommodating - letting us use the pool after the stated closing time and serving breakfast earlier so we could eat before leaving for our flight. The room was so spacious and comfortable, the hotel is beautiful, and the food was great. It’s surprisingly quiet and feels secluded despite being quite central in Colombo, although it’s still a bit out of the way so you’ll need to get a taxi into the centre.

Negative: The only downside was the shower as the water pressure was very poor and the water turned scalding hot every few minutes.

Summary: Beautiful hotel with friendly and attentive staff.
