Positive: The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel at home straight away and told us the family history of the house. The room was very comfortable with a very good shower. Breakfast was really good with fresh Drop Scones , bread and various home made jams and honey, some of which we bought before leaving. We couldn't fault it and would return there again if passing this way.

Positive: Fred and Marie are exceptional hosts. The location just off the A6 is ideal for travellers like us. As an old converted barn, the rooms and accommodation generally are warm, spacious, comfortable and packed full of character. But the best bit was the food and the wine. Dinner with Fred and Marie in the evening was divine and excellent value. The breakfast was wholesome and mostly grown in their own garden, or otherwise locally.
