Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Beautiful property located in a rural village easily accessible from the highway. Convenient parking on-site or just across the street. Strong WiFi, yummy food, upgraded room with nice bathroom, very comfortable with amenities. The place was immaculate, the housekeeper was lovely and hard-working. A pretty yard, nice views. So much to see and do in the surrounding region!

Negative: From the start, I felt like an intruder crashing a stranger’s holiday weekend. There was a tense and awkward vibe at breakfast and I never felt welcome in the common areas, just quickly passed through. Lots of dogs on the property, inside and out, only 2 were actually friendly. Although most were restrained, I was barked at, lunged at, and felt wary, and I’ve been a huge dog person my whole life. Quite a bit of dog-related noise during quiet hours.
