Positive: Agnes and Denis were excellent hosts. The breakfast was the best we’ve had anywhere - even an egg from their own hens. Denis helped us with our bags arriving and departing. The bed was a little smaller than we are used to but we had a walk in shower with that particular room. When I asked Agnes whether we could have extra pillows she immediately provided then. Both very pleasant and happy people. We would stay there again if in that area.

Negative: A bigger bed.

Summary: Lovely people who made our short stay very pleasant.

Positive: Good location with a charming hosts. Superb breakfast. 2 minute walk into the centre of town. The town itself is centrally located so easy to get to both coasts of the Cotentin peninsula and the D Day landing beaches.

Negative: When driving into town it is easy to miss the property entrance if not careful.

Positive: Great location close to ferry terminal. Great price and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was cereal, apple juice, tea, coffee and bread roll with jams.

Negative: No a complaint but there are no kettles in the room however there is one in the dining room with tea, coffee etc free to use any time. This is an old house and can be a bit noisy but it’s the original style and beautiful. Again not a complaint. Just for others to consider and they do have quiet time from 10pm through to 7am.

Summary: Excellent and highly recommended.

Positive: Wonderful stay at La Garenne. Arrived by bicycle, and our cycles safely put away in the garage. A short walk to the castle and restaurants. Amazing breakfast with all home produce.
