Positive: La Cittadella is an excellent base to discover the region. It is a peaceful authentic location, despite the earthquake suffering and still rebuilding. Swimming pool and panoramic views are a plus. The restaurant offers great food. Staff is very friendly and helpful to advise on hikes and other excursions in the neighbourhood.

Negative: The consequences of the 2016 earthquake are still visible. Once the refurbishment will be finished, it will be a top-location offering a peaceful stay with panoramic views along the swimming pool.

Summary: For a peaceful stay, in a wonderful environment, served by authentically sympathetic owners.

Positive: This place is just lovely, very friendly and cheerful staff, warm atmosphere and above all, lovely home-cooked dinners that are simply great value. Local produce, lots of vegetables and high quality meat. We all loved it and wished we could have stayed longer.

Negative: The room got a little hot at night, but we were there in the absolute summer heat!

Summary: Incredibly warm and welcoming with brilliant views and home-cooked meals!

Negative: It is still undergoing reconstruction following the eartquake using mostly temporary structures so is not as comfortable and charming as it could be. But the friendly service somewhat compensates

Positive: Very nice location, good position to start the hiking toward Lake pilato and Sibilla mountain. The host is very nice and the breakfast was perfect, finally fresh products and a lot of different options.

Negative: The construction site around the structure breaks a bit the charm of the place, but there's nothing they can do about it as they went through a terrible natural disaster.
