Positive: Wow! Step into a fairy tale of a chateau that overlooks a castle. Fantastic indoor pool had a whole afternoon of family fun in there and in the gardens. Host and I tried our best to communicate but both me and my wife being useless at speaking French was just a laugh throughout. Felt rejuvenated after leaving even with parenting and 18month old and a 3 year old. Can only imagine how you'd feel if you didn't live the parenting life!

Positive: The host was very welcoming and helpful providing hints as to what to see in the local area, which we took up. The house was very nice indeed and very much reflected the french culture we were looking for. The setting next to the old château and farm was also very welcoming. Yes, the weather was very cold. The house offered a very warm place to be at that time of year.

Negative: The separate bathroom was nice however, the shower was only chest high rather than above your head. Yes, the shower head was able to be handheld however, it would be nice for it to be fixed higher to allow the use of two hands. This seems to be a common feature of the french bathrooms. But we made do.

Summary: A great introduction to our European holiday, allowing us to recover from a very long flight.
