Positive: This small trip to Piedmont was a birthday gift for my husband, so I chose the accommodation very carefully and planned everything in advance. Reality exceeded all our expectations. We had brand-new apartments on the second floor: a huge bedroom with a large wardrobe and a very comfortable double bed, a spacious living room with two sofas, a fully equipped kitchen, a convenient hallway, and a balcony with a view of the Alps. Very clean and quiet. The owners themselves live on the ground floor. Honestly, I rarely meet such warm and welcoming people. On our last evening, they invited us to their home for a wonderful dinner, where we spoke French, and sometimes English and Russian. The house is located a 15-minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the old town of Avigliana. Trains to the center of Turin run every half hour, and the journey takes about 30 minutes — more convenient than getting there from many districts of Turin itself. An ideal location to explore both the capital of Piedmont and the Susa Valley. And of course, the main jewel is the Sacra di San Michele Abbey and the hike to it along the Path of the Princes. Many thanks to Minzilia and Luciano for four wonderful days. We will definitely come back. Daniel and Alex, Paris.
