Positive: - Host was very kind and prompt to respond via whatsapp. He provided a cot and sheets for our toddler as well as extra food as per our request (see below). - Bedroom and toilet (private) were clean. - Very isolated, therefore very quiet and peaceful - Loads of books and some games available (domino, uno) - loads of kitchen items available as well as cooking ingredients as salt and olive oil. - kitchen with TV, fireplace and big table. - our room had a balcony This settling is ideal for a solo traveler or a group of friends who would like to hang out or have food together. Not ideal for families.

Negative: - breakfast was sparse (for 2 people and a toddler we had available: coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, 1 yogurt, biscuits and crostata; we requested lactose free milk and bread and it was provided straight away). However, the (normal) milk was off (It happens!) - internet signal was extremely poor. We both had to work and we could not even send an email. - no TV in the bedroom - location: hard to find and road in poor condition. The above was very impactful and we will not return I am afraid.

Positive: The owners are very easy to talk to and this is a very laidback place. Everything is on hand, and they were available to make sure I had a pleasant stay. The pool is a definite bonus - especially in a heatwave! i also liked the big kitchen which made it easy to make my own food. A very relaxing stay!!

Negative: My only criticism would be the shower in the shared bathroom, I think it needs to be on a pole rather than free

Positive: This was a great place to stay while we were visiting a nearby piano festival. The reason we chose it was because of the small swimming pool in the garden. It is the perfect way to cool off and big enough to swim some lengths too! But the guesthouse proved to have so many other good things about it. First of all the hosts Paolo and Sarah were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. They provided a delicious breakfast for us in the large kitchen which is just there for guests and available if you want to cook yourself and they had excellent recommendations about restaurants and other advice. The rooms are spacious and cool with air conditioning and attractively decorated. One has a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and private bathroom. The other guests share a bathroom but this was not a problem at all. The corridor is full of art and books and very attractive. You can park in the large driveway and really the house offers everything a visitor could need.

Negative: This is not really a dislike. Just to say that the house is off the main road along a short driveway and so can be quite hard to find. And if you are relying on google maps you can lose signal in the mountains. You need to put in the exact location. Not the Road name which we did and it’s a long road ! But Paolo was there to welcome us and kindly came out onto the road to help us locate the driveway The drive is directly opposite a small restaurant so once you know that it is a useful landmark. The house is up a long driveway so you are not disturbed by noise from the bar and although the road is nearby it is quiet and peaceful.

Summary: A lovely house with large cool rooms, wonderful hosts and a fantastic swimming pool.
