Positive: The owner was responsive. The property was an authentic old world home with a few modernizations. The location was in the Andalusian neighborhood. The neighbors were very nice.

Negative: The property uses scented sticks to "freshen" the air. The smell lingers in your nose even after you leave due to the high levels of petroleum. I put them away. There were four levels and only one air conditioner at the very top. When we put it on the smell was of mold and it did not cool. There was also a smell of dog on the fourth floor perhaps because the furniture was old and dusty. We had to leave after one night of a two night reservation because of the smell and how uncomfortably hot the unit was. Also, the stairs were very steep and dangerous to climb down in the dark to go to the bathroom. Not recommended for anyone over 160 cm.

Positive: The atmosphere of the house is great, it was really tastefull and unique. very charming, it is situated in the old arabic quarter, so it looks a bit like a Medina, also very nice atmosphere. in front of the door starts the water-route. it takes you down to a nice recreation area with pathways alongside water, where the are some pools you can swim in. a small horeca is there also. very nice. The route is very easy-going. The are 4 floors. There ground floor is very cool, we went in may, so we found it sometimes a bit chilly, but I guess in the summer it will be very welcoming. The 4th floor has the living room, a nice and pleasant room. Charming. The whole house, just charming.

Negative: Chelva has only a few restaurants and the few there are, are pretty mediocre. Because the house is in the 'Medina'., you can't park close by. And, worth mentioning, the house consists of 4 floors so you have to do a lot of stairway-walking. I didn't mind, because it is such a charming place.

Positive: Great quirky 4 story townhouse in the center of Chelva. Everything you need is there. Great beds. Layout is a bit typical with the kitchen/diner being on the ground floor and the living room on the top floor with the bedrooms in between. We loved it but perhaps not so suitable for couples with small children or elderly people. Cristina is very helpful in passing all information about places to visit and restaurants before you arrive. We spend the weekend to walk some of the lovely trails starting g from Chelva. Would definitely recommend.
