Positive: It’s beautiful nice flat with lovely garden. 24h self checkin with the keys in the locker. Spacious parking.

Negative: Night lamp by the bunk beds would be helpful and there were two capsules of coffee but no tea. A couple of teabags would go a long way

Positive: It was clean and neat. Communication was good.

Negative: There were no dishes, glasses, or plates provided—no crockery at all. We had cutlery and pots and pans, but nothing else. Additionally, the place had not been aired out and smelled strongly of must and damp. Simply airing it for an hour or two before our arrival would have made a noticeable difference in both the smell and the humidity inside. It was also extremely hot, with no fan or air conditioner available, which made the environment very uncomfortable. Furthermore, I believe it is the host’s responsibility to ensure the property is properly cleaned and prepared for each new guest. It is totally understandable that a guest clean the accommodation during their stay, I found it annoying that we were expected to remove linen from the beds, turn it inside out, do all the washing up, remove all the bin liners, etc. upon departure. We arrived late, left early the following morning. Makes me wonder if, apart from the sheets being washed, a cleaner even cleans in between visits. Thorough cleaning—including the removal of used linen, bed protectors, dishes, and garbage—should be completed by the host or a designated cleaner between bookings.

Summary: It was nice, but I wouldn't stay again

Positive: Good property with some very nice facilities. Spacious too and with a small private-ish garden backing onto a stream. Reasonable sized Intermarche just down the road.

Negative: Location is a bit off the beaten track, though convenient for Calais and Le Shuttle. Some restaurants nearby but they were all shut! Small points but would be better to have a few more (matching) coffee mugs and some soap in the dispenser in the bathroom (it was empty). Also a named host gives a better impression in e-mail correspondence rather than just 'The Opale Team'.

Summary: Good property and fine to use as a base for exploring the area or as a staging post for Le Shuttle.

Positive: What a fab location. We were two adults and two kids aged 13 and 15. Perfect as had separate bedroom and bathroom separate to the toilet. We stayed one night. It was literally 10 mins from the tunnel so couldn’t have worked any better for us for an onward trip to Switzerland. Would definitely recommend and use them again. Small thing is that it would have been lovely to have a few coffee capsules and a small milk for a coffee but other than that I can’t complain. Bakery in the nearby village did amazing food. One of the best croissants I’ve ever had and free parking nearby.
