Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The property faced the wonderful view of the mountains breathtaking . The jacuzzi is good. As well as the balcony. The beds are ok Kitchen ok. One capsule of coffee for machine.

Negative: There are several negative aspects which should be amended. First no face towel at all and only one small bath towel for three nights. We asked for additional towels for jacuzzi at least said no. Bathroom amenities zero . Small bar of soap for hands nothing else. The worst was one roll of toilet paper per person no extras in the whole chalet. Very disappointing . It would also be a very good idea to let renters know that getting to the chalet is quite a challenge as far as driving concerned. Extremely narrow roads.

Summary: Beautiful view needs lot more attention to details and amenities.

Positive: Having travelled to 74 countries and having been to Chamonix several times before, I have stayed at some pretty dope homes. L'Ecrin beats most if not all of these past experiences! This place is beyond belief! My partner and I had the place to ourselves and we had the most amazing time enjoying wine by the fire until the small hours or soaking in the jacuzzi in full unobstructed view of the Alps with some meat and cheese charcuterie, to simply having our morning coffee on the upper deck! We went with plans and reservations for QC Terme and some restaurants and ended up just staying in and falling in love with this place! L'Ecrin had no reviews when I booked it which made me pause, but I found the owner online and texted him. He was super responsive and answered all my questions which made me book without hesitation. Everything was perfectly smooth and the host was super polite and gracious. My flight to Geneva was cancelled at the gate and I was placed on a later flight which arrived very late. I messaged the host that I cannot check in before after midnight and he was super calm, polite and accommodating. Not only, but he even had cheese, alcohol and nibbles for us when we arrived which was super thoughtful as we were exhausted by the stressful journey and had no way of getting food or drinks. We felt so welcomed and at home, I would love to return and soon!
