Positive: Very good value, clean rooms and very spacious. Very friendly staff.

Negative: Unfortunately they were having boiler problems, so I didn't get to use my private onsen spa or take a hot shower. When it's all working though, it should be awesome. Unfortunately it's some way out of town. There is a bus near, but it's timetable is limited.

Summary: Will be a brilliant little spot when their boiler is working again

Positive: It’s located in the mountains with great views. We like the refreshing environments around the villas. Rooms are big and all facilities are good. Although the private hot spring broke down but we got the Kurokawa Onsen pass from the host and enjoyed 2 of the onsens.

Negative: A little far from Kurokawa, but won’t be a problem if you have a car.

Positive: There are private onsen's in the room. The rooms are huge and very cosy. The view from the room and the Onsen was beautiful. The host are english speaking and are very hospitable

Positive: The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our accommodation included a private onsen which allowed us to bathe after our children had gone to sleep. But there was also a public open air onsen too. The children loved the little Kurokawa onsen face towel left for them. A short drive from Kurokawa town perfect for travellers with a rental car and affordable if the guesthouses in Kurokawa town are out of your budget. Our kitchen had a kettle, gas stove, microwave and I think a rice cooker. Wish we could have stayed longer!
