Positive: This resort is not for everyone. It's quiet, no aircon and there is a mangrove rather than a beach. There are no 7/11s or similar shops on the island. The wildlife was great. Plenty of different birds, and around 30 monkeys appeared at various times of day. The little restaurant was fine too and the staff very helpful with booking bicycles, a self-drive tuk-tuk and onward travel. Each of the few cabins have their own pool. There are lovely beaches, coffee shops and resorts nearby to visit. Very little traffic.
Negative: When we first arrived (I was with a traveller friend), our first impression was "oh no!". But after staying 6 nights, I can say that it's the best area I have been to in Thailand for authenticity. So, there was nothing that we didn't like.

Positive: The staff were really lovely and welcoming and made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. The facilities were great and we really loved the location with it being right by the mangroves

Positive: Best part of the place was its staff hospitality. It is like a family managed hotel. Get a warm touch. Also its a small cosy property so you get far from hustle bustle. The food was great and whenever we had special dinner, the place was decorated specially giving great feeling.
Negative: For summer having an air conditioner won't be a bad idea. Have right expectations from the place, it won't be like a hotel chain that can give more comfort and variety in in-house dining etc. But the warmth was worth missing some basic luxuries. I still wish slightly better maintained toilets etc that would make this place wonderful.
Summary: Nice cosy warm place
