The space
Our unit has recently been updated w/ new floors, all new bathroom, new paint, and new furnishings.
It's one of the only units at Kirkwood to have everything. The studio comes with a full kitchen, radiant heat + wood-burning fireplace, free firewood, High speed WIFI, queen luxury bed, sleeper sofa, ski locker w/ waxing station, covered underground parking w/ elevator access, deck w/ mountain views, 43"LG Smart TV HBO/Netflix/Prime access and is pet friendly.
Also included is access to hot tub, a communal gas burning grill (always stocked), coin-operated laundry facilities, a large great room with two-sided fireplace, large tables and super comfy chairs to relax in... perfect for entertaining guests.
The studio is about 220 yards to the Kirkwood Village and main mountain access, a short walk to the lifts and you can ski-in right to the front door of the building from chair 6 or chair 7. There are also groomed cross-country skiing trails right out the back door of the building. The free Kirkwood shuttle picks up in front of the building giving you transport to the Kirkwood General Store, Kirkwood Village and Timber Creek, the beginner learning area (chair 7 and Bunny lift).
Early/Late check in/out policy:
When we can accommodate, an early or late check out can be made available for a $50 fee. The reason we charge this fee is because Kirkwood has the highest utility costs in the country.
Explanation of $120 cleaning fee:
I had a guest complain about it so I thought I would explain the details behind the cost. I actually pay the cleaner $120 per clean because of the remote location of the unit, 45-minute drive from the nearest town, where most locals live. Due to the remote location, it is hard to find reliable folks, so when you do, you pay them fair wages!
Other things to note
PLEASE NOTE: Radiant heat to the building will be shut off during the spring and summer months. Your heat source is the wood burning fireplace. All wood is stocked and supplied as well as Firestarter's.
Also be courteous of others and maintain a 6' social distance. Wear a face covering at all times inside the common areas i.e. hallways, elevator and great room. This is very important to help us stay operating.

Summary: We had an amazing stay at this cozy condo in the snowy mountains! The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to the lifts, making getting on the slopes easy every day. The condo itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The amenities were a huge bonus—hot tub, fireplace, and a fully stocked kitchen. It was the perfect place to relax after a day in the snow. We’d definitely come back!

Summary: Decent property near the ski resort. Could pay attention to cleanliness of the property. Some linens were dirty and the area around the fireplace hasnt seen things moved and cleaned in a long time. Overall, an ok place with good location.

Summary: It is an adorable and comfortable studio and a short walk to Chair 5. Great communication with the owner, she is very responsive. Couple of things to note, the fridge is very small and the pull-out bed is tiny. I'm 5'6 and my feet hung over the edge. It is more suited for a small child. Also, I suggest rewriting the check-in and check-out instructions. The codes needed are in different locations and the check-out instructions weren't accurate.

Summary: There were barely any other guests at the same time that I saw. Not surprising for a ski resort in summer. Thus very quiet, which I liked.

Summary: This is a very simple, small little studio SUPER close to the slopes. It's clean and basic. Perfect little place for 2 people to walk right to the lifts.

Summary: Kirkwood is pretty deserted in the summer so it is a nice get-a-way. Great hiking and wildflowers in all directions. The condo is cozy with secured underground parking. The bathroom is super nice and modern with a good shower. The only negative was the plug-in air "freshener" which was obnoxiously powerful (and spreads phthalates into your air). I would have unplugged it if I discovered it right away. We thought the smell was from cleaning the floor or sinks. The hot tub in the description has not been working for a while so that should be removed from the listing.

Summary: The perfect spot for 2 adults. 5 min walk from all the main lifts, we were more than okay with this. Easy garage parking underneath the building. Would stay here again.

Summary: The studio itself is great! It’s a tight space with 3 people and a dog, but there is a great lobby in the building if you want more space to spread out. For a place that allows pets it was very clean. The biggest draw of this condo is how close it is located to chair 6. Like others, I also received the incorrect lockbox code initially. Luckily I confirmed this information with the host prior to arriving late in the evening. Brianna was helpful when she responded to messages but responses often took days or multiple attempts.

Summary: The entrance lock code is error, we have to contact location service desk. He told us it was changed 7 months ago. The main entrance and garage share the same code which it didn’t mention in check in guide. We stay this property for 4 days. It only comes with one garbage bag both in kitchen and bathroom. There is no replacement for either one. And only one spare toilet paper. If you have some kid like me, highly recommend bring some more yourself. The main issue confuse us is the thermal control. What ever you set it to 59F or 65F, it prefect keep it 75F. Which it is okay for the day but too hot for the night. We contact the owner and she said they were going to work on it. Never heard back till we gone. The only thing we can do is open the windows a little bit (15F outside) to balance out the temperature. On top of the above things, it is a good property if you want a place that close to kirkwood. It is 5 mins walk for snowboarder or 8mins walk for skier to kirkwood village. Easy to catch the first run to back side or lift 10. Also if you have kids. The lobby is a good place for kids play around. The indoor basement garage is convenient.

Summary: Property is centrally located to everything in kirkwood. Unit itself was a perfect size for 2 of us and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom very clean and looks newly remodeled as of Jan-22.
