Summary: This was a dated but charming no frills place. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a slight “old” smell. If I was in the area I would stay here again.

Summary: I was in town for 4 days. It was an okay dated property. Seems like it was in its glory long ago but over the year's it hasnt been kept up. Staff is friendly. Bed was comfortable.

Summary: The young man who checked us in was very personable, friendly, and efficient. The inn is very simple, but our room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. However, when we inquired about the complimentary breakast, which was described on the website (with pictures) as a country style buffet, unlike any ordinary hotel breakfast, we were told the new owners cut it out and it was no longer offered. The main reason we picked this inn over other hotels was not only for the location but for the breakfast that was to served in their on-site restored Historic Kirkwood House. We had no prior notice whatsoever that "a hearty spread" breakfast would not be offered. After our departure , we checked the website again and it was still there, offering that breakfast to their patrons. The least this establishment could have done was let their patrons know that breakfast was no longer offered and let them decide if they want to book or not. That was very disappointing.
