Summary: The owner and family are very sweet! We checked in a couple of hours earlier than scheduled and really enjoyed our room - it was very clean and well kept. We’re looking forward to coming back!

Summary: The young man who checked us in was very personable, friendly, and efficient. The inn is very simple, but our room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. However, when we inquired about the complimentary breakast, which was described on the website (with pictures) as a country style buffet, unlike any ordinary hotel breakfast, we were told the new owners cut it out and it was no longer offered. The main reason we picked this inn over other hotels was not only for the location but for the breakfast that was to served in their on-site restored Historic Kirkwood House. We had no prior notice whatsoever that "a hearty spread" breakfast would not be offered. After our departure , we checked the website again and it was still there, offering that breakfast to their patrons. The least this establishment could have done was let their patrons know that breakfast was no longer offered and let them decide if they want to book or not. That was very disappointing.

Summary: Parking out right outside our door. Actual physical keys as it is an older place but well kept. Pervious reviews say it is dated but we thought it was in better shape than most newer hotels. Owner was amazing older lady. All staff was so nice and pleasant. Will definitely be back and we live over 8 hours away!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the Kirkwood Inn. This place is a hidden gem with their clean rooms, great rates, and fresh hot breakfast. Especially enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. We will definitely stay again when in the area!
