Positive: Feels like High end Airbnb, enjoyed our stay even for only 1 night, wish we can stay longer.

Negative: Everything is nice and clean, bonus is nice and big Japanese garden.

Positive: The house is beautiful and comfortable, and has many traditional features. The location is excellent, you do not have to step very far out of the door to experience the beauty of Obi.

Negative: Unfortunately, the items in the kitchen were not very clean which was disheatening as I planned to cook - glasses, spoons/chopsticks, plates etc were all a little dirty. There were some condiments provided but these were sticky, and generally the condiments were lacking (there was no salt or pepper which was unfortunate considering these are staple items).

Summary: Beautiful house but cleanliness in kitchen was a bit of a letdown

Positive: The house is elegant & clean & the garden is beautiful. Good cooking facilities with refrigerator. Closeby supermarket for those who like to cook. Although some facilities were not working as expected, the staff had been helpful to offer alternatives.

Positive: Located in a beautifully preserved peaceful location, the accommodation is highly recommended for a stopover to explore the region. We appreciated the helpful staff with local tips. Modern convenience, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and serene setting gave our family of four a great base to rest. Visit Obi Machi for a true taste of Japan.

Negative: Bring a sleep mask if light sensitive (better yet sleep and wake early).

Negative: It is difficult to locate the reception and pick the key. Suggested that have a good communication with the hotel before arrival OR hotel may send the map to guest next time.

Negative: I was allocated a house different from that I saw on the website. The map reference given was incorrect. It was 100 meters away from the correct address, nobody spoke enough English to redirect me. In the end a member of staff of Obi Castle showed the way
