Summary: Simply fantastic. The staff and accomodations were excellent, and we so appreciated receiving a very kind complimentary room upgrade to celebrate our anniversary. The history of the castle and surrounding land is fascinating and steeped in lore, and we enjoyed learning more about this this very special part of the heart of Ireland.

Summary: Wonderful and beautiful castle converted into a hotel. We were there for a wedding. The whole experience is top notch and I must say that the hotel is much nicer and more impressive in person than in the photos. Enjoy!

Summary: The most amazing place we’ve stayed at while driving through Ireland. It’s a little off the beaten path, but truly such an amazing experience and I’m so glad we found this absolute treasure. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were gorgeous and clean. The room was spacious and included air conditioning. The castle grounds had walking paths that were magical all around. I wish we could have stayed multiple days, but I’m so grateful for our overnight.

Summary: Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our stay. The restaurant staff seemed inexperienced and not attentive. It was extremely noisy on our top floor room until about 2am. The other guests were not considerate as we could hear conversations and fighting through the late night. Around 1am we were all woken by the strong scent of cigarette smoke coming into our room. As non-smokers, that is really irritating. It was really uncomfortable. We’re not sure where it came from. The shower curtain has a pink hue on the bottom which is bacteria/mold and should be replaced. Having come directly from a wonderful authentic castle stay the night before, we really wish we would have done our research before booking.
