Kingfisher sleeps 3 couples, or 3 single guests. It boasts 3 lovely bedrooms containing 1 double bed and 2 kingsize beds dressed with beautiful, professionally laundered bedding.
Real wood cabin. Home from home, rustic vibe. Feels like visiting a peaceful safe haven. Every guest that has stayed, always returns. All of your troubles disappear are the comments we hear. Maybe because of the peaceful ambiance of the cabins integrating into the stunning calming beauty of the lake and the soothing nature sounds.
Kingfisher Lodge has a very comfortable sofa and 2 armchairs, a coffee table and dining table and chairs.
There is one main bathroom with a large shower.
In the open plan lounge is 52" TV with Freeview and free Netflix, not to mention free WIFI.
Sit back and enjoy a glass of your favourite drink nect to the clear-view log burner. Free wood included.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook with, also included are tea towels, washing up liquid, bin bags, kitchen roll, tea, coffee, sugar, salt, etc.
Don’t forget to bring your slippers and a book or two, or your fishing equipment, or even your camera to get that perfect shot for your album.
All Cabins overlap the beautiful 3 acre fishing lake. You have a very large veranda to fish from or simply sit back and chill soaking up the surrounding sounds of nature. This is a quiet retreat so no loud parties/music etc.
This is a peaceful chill out site. So, not all same sex 'parties'. This site is laid back, relaxed and chilled vibe only.
The fish in the lake are in pristine condition as we do not allow day ticket fishing, so no mouths ripped to shreds, etc. Only experienced Fishing people please.
Species of fish in the lake are:
All Carp, Cats, Bream, Barbell, Tench, Roach, Rudd and perch. The biggest caught was a 36lb Grass Carp. The average catch is 12lb Carp, but there are some big monsters in there if you want to go set up in any of the swims away from the cabins. All fish are to be returned alive and unharmed back to the lake. You can also bring a bivvy to set up anywhere around the lake.
The best feature, apart from the cabins, for me, is the views and the Sun Set - magical!

Summary: My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights for his birthday, the cabin was lovey and had everything we needed too. Especially loved the log fire :) It was a shame we didn't catch any fish during our stay but overall loved the experience of staying there and the beds were super comfy.

Summary: Booked it for myself and my husband’s valentines night away. Beautiful well equipped cabin far bigger than we needed but it was the smallest available at the time of booking. We managed a few hours fishing at night and a hour or so in the morning before leaving. Loved the log burner it’s wasn’t really cold but set the atmosphere snuggled on the comfy sofa with a bottle of fizz and Netflix which was included. We will definitely be back again with the family next time.

Summary: This place is spectacular and the couple who run it are so accommodating, friendly and very helpful . I don't even go there for the fish any more, I go there because I know it's always going to be perfect, beautiful and clean . Thanks guys x

Summary: Not the first time we've stayed here, and it certainly won't be the last! We just love the peace and quiet and how relaxed we feel afterwards. The fishing is a big hit with my husband and I just watch and read! Beautiful lodges, love the log burner on the cold days! So cosy, home from home and view of the lake - couldn't ask for more! Amy and Paul are brilliant hosts. So friendly and helpful. We loved our week away that much this last time that we extended it!!

Summary: Lodge was very clean and tidy and the log burner and tv system were brilliant, whilst we were fishing. Caught two carp and the biggest bream I’ve ever caught straight from the lodge decking area. Beds very comfortable and the lodge feels massive inside! Lake owners r commended a very nice curry house nearby as well! Will be back again soon !
