Positive: Comfortable and well appointed with plenty of continental breakfast options. Extremely close to volcanoes national park and birding areas.

Positive: We loved the property. The place was warm and inviting and had a lot of charm. It was situated in a beautiful neighborhood that was conveniently located to the national park. The host left a wonderful breakfast and lots of snacks for us. We enjoyed relaxing outside on the porch at the end of the day.

Positive: Great location near Volcano National Park. Lots of breakfast choices and many snacks. Comfortable bed. Small sitting are outside with gas fire pit.

Negative: Water in the bathroom took a while to heat up.

Positive: The hosts go the extra mile and beyond to make your stay fantastic. We wanted for nothing. The little porch and yard were lovely, super convenient to the national park. The room was so tasteful, everything thought out. And best of all the birding at the nearby KipuKapuaula.

Negative: We loved every minute and every inch.

Summary: The 10 out of 10 Ratings Will Not Disappoint. The amenities can't be beat!

Positive: Perfectly located a short drive from the national park entrance. The hosts were lovely and gave us local tips (one of them is a ranger at the national park). The room was so carefully appointed and the breakfast was fantastic, with so much food and a great variety. The garden outside the room was lovely too.

Positive: What an amazing place to stay. Everything was exceptional and exceeded expectations. Incredibly comfortable bed and they had the room heated upon our arrival from a cold afternoon of trekking through the volcano park. There were so many lovely little touches to make our stay extra comfortable such as nibbles ready on our check-in and breakfast all sorted for the morning. A very easy drive into Volcano Park. Completely recommend.

Positive: Pam and Dean were excellent hosts and we highly recommend staying at Kilauea House if you are planning an adventure in Volcan NP! We stayed two nights in the Nene room. The location was perfect for exploring the park and provided a great place for us to rest after a long day. The rooms are well stocked with everything you could need including maps of the park, an array of breakfast foods (pastries, cereal, snacks, fruit, fresh ground coffee), and most importantly a beautiful little patio to sit and watch the birds. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean with all the usual toiletries. Free parking is included. Pam and Dean also provided some great recommendations for park activities (Dean is a park ranger) and we were able to attend an evening lecture about the 2022 Mauna Loa eruption. Our other favorite activities were hiking the Kilauea Iki trail, driving the chain of craters road, and stargazing in the park at night.

Negative: Everything was great! We have no complaints.
