Positive: It was a lovely area. The cabin was clean and worked well for us.

Negative: We booked a waterfall view, but couldn’t really see the waterfall. You have to book the Waterfall House if you actually want to have a view of the waterfall.

Summary: The property was beautiful and clean. If you want to see the waterfall from your stay, you must book the Waterfall House

Positive: The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Just incredible. The waterfall, the goats, the cabins, the lodge...the sounds of the waterfall, birds, and frogs. Even if you aren't planning to go to Hilo, go, just to visit this magical place. We needed help with something when we got there and the owner appeared immediately. He was so kind and clearly has worked very hard to create this wonderful place. We joined a tour of the property where we learned more about the intention and care they placed into creating and maintaining the property and wide range of plant life. Wish we were still there.

Positive: Isolation, nice cabins for two people. Common building nice. Views nice. Patio in front of cabin was a winner.

Negative: Lighting to main cabin to get to bathroom.

Positive: The remote lifestyle. Two stories with loft. Secluded from the city. Surrounded by the beauty of the island. I loved the sound of frogs at night and the stars at night were INCREDIBLE!!

Negative: Mosquitoes everywhere including inside the house. We could not enjoy the stay as much as we hoped for because we were constantly bit by mosquitoes. We highly advise the owners to put in zapper’s or citronella throughout the house. We understand we are in the lush jungle-like environment, but we were not expecting this in the house. We were advised to bring repellent, but it did not work well enough. We were all bitten up by the laundry area really bad as well - which is outdoors. Second, A couch in the loft would be nice. We either had to sit at the kitchen table or in our bed.

Summary: Would stay again if the mosquitos were not an issue.
