Positive: My wife and I know Maldivian culture and language, so being in an island community was very enjoyable. Our host, Mohammed Zubair was attentive, intelligent and a respected leader in the community.

Negative: As a marine biologist, it was sad to see multiple coral bleaching events had significantly reduced key corals. Still there were many tropical fish, turtles, rays. We did a few night snorkeling which we enjoyed.

Positive: The hospitality begins immediately after booking. Any specific and general questions can be asked via WhatsApp. You always receive a prompt reply. The very friendly, helpful host Mohamed was happy to assist me with my arrival and I received all the information I needed in detail. This guesthouse is in a very quiet location just a few steps from the sea and offers four simple rooms, a small garden and a lounge area. The rooms are functionally furnished with a very comfortable bed, a small refrigerator and excellent air conditioning. There is also a large refrigerator with a freezer compartment and a washing machine available. And if you need to get some work done, the excellent internet connection is perfect for this too. Breakfast and dinner were served by very friendly staff at a restaurant just a five-minute walk away. The value for money is excellent. In addition to this small restaurant, there is also a café, three small shops for everyday needs and, most recently, an ATM. The host is happy to organise excursions tailored to the individual needs of his guests. Boat trips to secluded sandbanks, snorkelling trips, fishing trips followed by a barbecue. There is a bikini beach. However, I preferred to go into the water at all the other spots to marvel at the house reef while snorkelling (also suitable for kids). A beautiful coral reef can be explored from the beach. Colourful fish, turtles, ... A new hotel is currently being built behind Bikini Beach. Despite this, you can still enjoy privacy and even get a beach chair from the guesthouse. The construction is not silent. But it is much nicer to go into the water at all the other places to see the underwater world. The public beach, for example, is ideal for children. Unfortunately, as is the case everywhere in the world, driftwood and rubbish such as plastic wash up here too. The locals do their best to clean the beaches, but of course some things inevitably remain. I didn't find this disturbing.

Negative: I liked everything! Highly recommended for couples, families and especially solo travellers seeking peace and quiet! I felt very safe at all times! The excellent and informative reviews here and on Google are entirely accurate. I will definitely be back !!!

Positive: The best room in my six trips to the Maldives. The hotel is very modern – lots of outlets and lighting options, the bathroom is a dream! Mohamed, Adam, and their family are wonderful people, they took great care of me. I felt their care from the moment I arrived. The hotel location is perfect – close to beaches for swimming and snorkeling. Breakfasts and dinners at the Sea Breeze restaurant are excellent, with a very varied menu. The best thing is that the hotel is located on the edge of a village, in the jungle – waking up to the chirping of flying foxes and the singing of birds is simply wonderful! The island is absolutely beautiful, I want to come back.

Positive: Rather than a luxurious, tourist-heavy resort island, Kihaadhoo is a local island with a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere. The islanders are incredibly kind, and everyone greeted me with a welcoming smile. A stroll through the village streets gave me a glimpse into their way of life and culture. The hotel room was very satisfying, with a comfortable bed, good air conditioning, a spacious bathroom with plenty of natural light, and fast Wi-Fi. The serene setting, surrounded by large trees and beautiful flowers, was wonderful. Sitting in a chair in the courtyard, I could relax to the sound of birds chirping and a pleasant breeze from the sea. Of course, I enjoyed the beautiful underwater world of the reef, filled with pretty fish, including cute clownfish, and sea turtles. The owner, Mohamed, was very polite and helped make my stay enjoyable and memorable. The restaurant chef was also kind, cooking the fish I caught and preparing a variety of delicious local dishes. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for place with outstanding Malidivian hospitality. The owner's motto, "Arrive as a guest, leave as a friend," truly came to life. I will definitely be returning to this wonderful island where I made so many friends.

Positive: Kihaa Holiday Home is a wonderful place on an extraordinary island. Mohamed is a perfect host: The rooms are clean and beautiful, the courtyard in front of the 4 rooms is a warm welcoming place, and together with the common area (open, but covered, with a fan, and a large wooden table) it is simply wow! A perfect snorkeling beach is just a 1-minute-walk away through a palm tree forest, and the stunning bikini beach just a little further. While snorkeling, we saw turtles every single day, and, of course, lots of beautiful fish and corals, including nemos. All people on the island were extremely friendly, and the food (we are great fans of grilled fish and curries, usually served with amazing fresh salads) in the restaurant was nothing but delicious.

Summary: A perfect relaxing and friendly place and island with stunning under water life.

Positive: Perfect to spend some relaxing days after scuba diving. I'd recommend to go to neighbour island Dhonfanu first for diving (Fehi Velaa Guesthouse & Divecenter) and afterwards Kihadhoo to relax and snorkle, no diving center in Kihadhoo). The owner Mohamed offers good service, takes care of what you need. Kihadhoo is near (15min by speedboat) to Dharavandhoo with its airport.

Positive: Had a wonderful stay here at Kihaa! The island is nice and quiet, you really can calm down here and enjoy your time in remoteness. The AC in my room worked well, there are some international power sockets in the accomodation (so you don't need an adapter) and the host Mohamed is really kind :) He even provides snorkeling equipment so you can enjoy the beautiful underwater world at the house reef (which truly is amazing). You should come here!
