Positive: Very nice room behind the owner's private residence. Extremely clean and looked like we were the first occupiers (which I'm sure we weren't!). Private parking at the end of a cul-de-sac. All super (bar a few tiny litle things which can be improved upon). Fast internet at the property.

Negative: The house is in the path of planes landing at Bilbao airport. Nothing the owners can do about that though. I was puzzled though how to use the kettle and cups without the supply of coffee or tea, etc in the room...??? Mmmhhh. ;-)

Summary: A lovely place to return to.

Positive: Meals were filling, on time, cooked with love by the kind, friendly owner. I felt welcomed and at the same time had plenty of space on my own to rejuvinate.

Negative: It was right under the flight path to the airport. Farther out of town and away from than anticipated.

Positive: Beautiful setting, spacious room, top quality. Owners are great. The laundry service for 10 euros after 6 days on Camino Norte was a treat.

Negative: Express dinner sandwich and breakfast can be improved, especially for price.

Positive: The property was amazing. They obviously spent $$$ on the rooms and they were amazing. Everything from the beds, to shower and large windows were top notch h. The owners were very communicative and the experience was great.

Negative: The location was out of the way. There were no restaurants in town open. We went to three bars and had some chips and ice cream, but no real food. In 45 days in Spain this is our most expensive night.

Summary: Amazing and relaxing night for a couples retreat.

Positive: The location was excellent, as we had reservations at Azurmendi. The room was fantastic with views over the valley, the host was exceptional - ordered us an Uber to the restaurant and when we said we needed to pay he didn't want to accept!! We started talking wine and he uncorked a bottle and brought 2 glasses up to us which we very much enjoyed on the verandah overlooking the valley...............we really recommend this accommodation, and have already done to friends in Australia. Hopefully, one day, we too will return.

Summary: Couldn't fault this stay, the best we have had during our European vacation.............best choice
