Positive: A traditional ryokan that is a bit dated, but it is also its charm. We had a somewhat coolish reception, but our large-sized room and outdoor onsen made up for it. It also had a library where one can relax. We had a good stay, but if you don’t have a car, it may be a little out of the way.

Positive: Was a lovely traditional place, lots of character and charm, staff were amazing and so welcoming. It was as promised a traditional place and traditional bedding.

Negative: It was in a very small village with nothing to do but enjoy the facilities, but that’s on us not the property. Property was lovely and as promised, it was just the actual area that wasn’t what we expected.

Positive: I really enjoy this traditional Japanese Ryokan style; it feels like being in the anime I loved as a kid. The mattress and the private onsen in my room are everything so clean and authentic. And the highlight for me was the public and private onsen, which include both outdoor and indoor options (also public, but you can use it privately because you can lock the door when you use it).
