This amazing 4 season luxury home on Chemong Lake in the Kawartha Lake region is 20 minutes from downtown Peterborough, 1.5 hours from Toronto.
With 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, fully equipped Kitchen, Living room, Dining room, Family room with Pool table, a large deck to enjoy lake views and sunny lake-facing sunroom. You can spend your days relaxing with friends and family.
To provide more fun for your day, the "Cottage" has an in ground heated pool(closed for winter) and a Sauna to help keep you busy. The dock is large enough to have a couple boats tied up waiting for water sports or fishing fun. Chemong Lake is perfect for kayaks and standup paddle boards and 2 of each are included.
As the summer season progresses, weeds do fill in the lake at the shore, and as more boats are in the lake, more cut weeds blow in to shore.

The cottage lies in the heart of Ontario's inter-connected network of snowmobile trails and offers some of the best snowmobiling and reliable conditions in cottage country. The cottage is 20 minutes to ski hills. This region is one of Ontario's finest ice fishing areas with fishermen looking to catch bluegill, yellow perch, black crappie and northern pike. Cross Country ski right on the lake, or visit a number of trails listed.

HIKING:
15 minutes to the Kawartha Trans Canada Trail
Emily Provincial Park:
Emily Park is located Regional Road 10, just north of Omemee. The entrance to the trail is near the south beach parking area. Walk along the elevated boardwalk over a cattail marsh to a sphagnum moss island and a lookout tower to see the osprey nest. You can also swim at two sandy beaches along Pigeon River, fish or go for a paddle.
Marsh Boardwalk Trail
The Marsh Boardwalk Trail begins on a bark-chipped surface and immediately you enter an area of tall and mature cedar trees creating a dense tree canopy. Soon you arrive at the boardwalk and begin walking through cattails and ferns on both sides of the boardwalk. The cattails are so tall it is impossible to see over them, but it is possible to see wildlife such as frogs, turtles, red-winged blackbirds and American bitterns. The boardwalk stops at a unique island referred to as Sphagnum Island, which was created over thousands of years. The island has lots of Balsam Fir trees and ground hemlock. The trail continues to circle around the island. Soon you arrive at a lookout platform that allows you to scan the marsh, Pigeon River and forest. If you look carefully, you will see a nest where for generations a pair of ospreys has
raised their young.

Summary: Property and amenities were great. Nice and spacious. Pool and boat ramp were both nice and well kept. Communication with owner was easy and accurate. Would definitely recommend.

Summary: We had a wonderful week with our children and toddler grandchildren. We all enjoyed the heated pool, the floaties and all the pool towels supplied. We used the kayaks and paddle boards, and our grandchildren enjoyed the sand toys. The beach fire pit was great and offered great evening views of the lake. The fenced in area and landscaping around the pool provided peace of mind for the little ones and allowed them to play without concern. The pool was very clean and the pool cover was easy to put on at night. Having a patio table with lots of chairs and loungers and a shade sail beside the pool made hot days very enjoyable. The upper deck off the kitchen with seating and dining table was great! The house was very clean and comfortable. There was an entire pantry available for our food, and everything we needed in the kitchen was provided except a crock pot. The owners were very prompt to reply to any questions, and were very helpful and informative. Highly recommend this property!

Summary: Great property and home with lots of space. We were on a family get away and this location provided something for all ages including space to be by yourself for awhile if you wanted. The weather did not cooperate but we still had fun and enjoyed the heated pool and the "inside pool" table.

Summary: We enjoyed our weekend at Darl and Debbie’s home. Beautiful home, with nice dock and swimming pools. Very spacious, and each bedroom offered comfortable beds. With ten women, having five bathroom was great too😀 Having a heated swimming pool was wonderful.

Summary: I have read some prior reviews for this property about how much grass is in this end of Chemong. But...its just grass...and once you kayak or paddle board out into the lake into deeper water..its not much of an issue. The inground swimming pool will more than take your mind of the grass...still cools you off and is very relaxing with a great view of the lake. This is a beautiful property both inside and out. We love the region period. The owners are wonderful to work with, very responsive both prior to your visit, during, and after. Thank you, David and Dani Packard Ohio

Summary: This is a beautifully maintained home on Chemong Lake, with plenty of room for 10 people, teens and adults. The kitchen was very well equipped. The pool was popular because the lake is weedy, but we knew that before we went. Paddleboards and kayaks got you out past the shore weeds though. The owners were very quick to respond via email with answers to any questions. Lots of games supplied for rainy times, as well as the pool table and dart board and tv. The teens appreciated the wifi though! All in all a great place for a family vacation get-together.

Summary: We spent a week here with family and could not have asked for a nicer place, weather, and lake. The pool was a nice break from paddle sports on the lake and our kids enjoyed every minute of it. We caught many fish, swam in both the lake and the pool, and enjoyed relaxing at the bar playing pool at night. We will definitely be back!
