Positive: Our stay 2 days 1 night was excellent. Upon arrival we are served with hitea together with the kausar's family. At night we are served with local meal kazhak lamb rice taste so good. The next day before chkout we are served with local breakfast. Overall our stay was excellent and the owner and their kids are very kind very helpful.

Positive: The family is absolutely stellar. As soon as you come in to the house, the well-oiled machine starts running; you get the wifi code, sweets, handmade bread and amazing homecooked meals while the kids (and dogs!) run around. We had an issue with paying for tolls on Kazakh roads which our hosts solved for us too!

Negative: The youngest kid was really good in hide-and-seek and found me almost immediately every time

Positive: This is a true local experience. You get to know local people, see how they live and feel their hospitality. They have very cute kids, communication was mainly through translator (if you dont speak russian), but it was not an issue. The mom of the family prepared dinner for me, and they welcomed me with open hearts. Located in small village Karabulak, 20 minutes to Kolsai lakes and much cheaper than anything in Saty village. If I ever come back to Kazachstan, I will stay at this place again.

Negative: This is not a 5 star hotel, so keep in mind some facilities are pretty basic, but that is part of the experience!

Positive: 1. The host's daughter was in touch with me from day 1 in whats app. They are flexible with check in timings and really friendly people. 2. There a lot of farm animals in the property- sheep,goat, horse, cow etc and our little kids had a nice time playing with them. It is a very good experience for the kids to see village life. 3. car parking is available inside the property. 4. There is a fully functional kitchen and the host allowed us to cook our own food. They offered us free breakfast as advertised. Lunch and dinner was also offered at extra cost. 5. They went extra mile in taking us to saty to get a 4 wheel drive to reach lake kaindy which is not accessible by normal car. 6. the host daughter was studying almaty and on our way back we dropped her in almaty in our car. Enroute, she was our local guide at chevryn canyon and helped us a lot in taking us to all the 3 canyons- moon canyon, black canyon and cheryn main canyon. 7. The entire family is super friendly and made us feel at home as if we are visiting a distant relative.

Negative: 1. There is no shower facility to take bath. 2. Toilet facility is outside the house, and just a hole on a wooden shack. Really bad and difficult for elderly, people with back pain or for someone who is not used to this. This is typical village style. Alternatively, if we could drive to lake kolsai by 30 minutes, we could use the public toilet which is clean and offered for less fee. 3. The fee charged is much high compared to Astana or Almaty. But all other similar accomodations in and around Saty are also charging more than this. May be this is the norm in Saty and not much of other options if we have to stay in Saty.

Positive: The stay here was definitely the highlight of my Kazakhstan trip. Really enjoyed my time here in this beautiful rural village surrounded by mountains, so many animals and wonderful people. The meals were amazing and they feed with lots of love and treat you like you're a part of the family. You should definitely consider this if you love to experience village life.

Positive: The family is so welcoming, kind and loving. We were supposed to stay one night, but we extended it to 2 nights. It was a memorable experience to stay with the beautiful Kazakh family and learn about their culture, food and everything. Talking about food, they prepared lots of delicious foods for us to eat. If I ever get the chance to go to Almaty again, I will surely be visiting them again. Lots of love

Negative: We got lost to reach here because Google maps is not working very well but people there are very helpful. So you can just ask anyone there. It's better to go before dark.
