Summary: What a lovely retreat. Our stay was super relaxing. The cottage looks out on the river, and it is a short drive to the beach. You can walk into town, yet it is tucked away so that it is quiet. Cottage #5 is at the end, so there is an extra degree of privacy. There's no dishwasher, so you'll have to wash dishes by hand, and the kitchen is small; but other than that, it's roomy and comfortable for a two bedroom "cottage." The outdoor shower is a nice touch. Our daughters liked playing on the grassy area out back. Our departing flight was delayed by a few hours, so I messaged to request a later checkout. To my surprise, our host messaged back within a half hour to say that we could stay two more hours. That was really nice, much appreciated, and was the icing on the cake for our very relaxing week in Dolphin Cottage #5. We hope we can come back!

Summary: Not a lot of privacy for two couples with paper thin walls. Thank goodness for the outdoor shower which is what made this rental possible for group of 4. This unit, Dolphin 5 has a beautiful view of the river. Only one tiny bench outside upstairs so not a lot of Al fresco group lounging. Easy walk to town or the beach.

Summary: Other then being given the incorrect key code, not hearing back from host and digging through 5 emails to finally find a phone number to get the correct code…..the place was amazing and exactly as pictured and described Thanks for sharing this piece of heaven

On one side you have a view of the river and the other side provides a beautiful view of the mountains with its waterfalls. The on-site property assistant was very responsive and helpful.

The location was excellent to the town of hanalei and loved being right on the river. Our initial code to get into the unit didn’t work but I was able to get someone on the phone quickly to troubleshoot and we got in after a few code resets. The cottage had everything we could ask for. My only complaint is that we weren’t advised of the restricted travel in and out of hanalei which did impact our trip as we had to cancel a tour due to scheduling issues.
