Positive: Very good quality food. Super Great quality home made wine (!) - from the owner wineyard - not available in shops. Etraordinary location - dont miss the sunrise. Nice pool. Lost of great location for photoshooting. Super great for Instagram posts :-) . Huuuge rooms - very spacious. The rooms using great materials.

Negative: Easy to get lost arriving by car. Ask for detailed itinary. Many wasps, but this seems an overall Greece problem. Fridge is a bit small, but manageable.

Positive: Katouna Suites is a truly beautiful hotel, with breathtaking views. The location is great - peaceful around the pool but still close to Lygia and Lefkada town (if you can drag yourself away from the hotel!). Staff were excellent and friendly and the rooms were spacious, clean and incredibly comfortable.

Negative: It is worth noting that the hotel bar was quieter in the evenings but this probably just depends on the other guests there at the time!

Summary: A peaceful slice of luxury in Lefkada.

Positive: Service and staff are exemplary particularly Latey (sp.). They could not have gone more out of their way to make you feel welcome and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble and the balance between excellent service and discretion was perfectly executed. Food was excellent. Both at breakfast and also at lunch. Chef delivered brilliant breakfasts and the menu is varied enough at lunch that you can confidently eat here for a few days and not tire of the menu. Beds are comfortable - both in the room and the loungers. Air conditioning is very effective meaning that the rooms were not hot even when outside was roasting. Private gates to complex and only open to guests.

Negative: A few points to note that would improve the experience - whilst we were there (3 days) clientele are mostly quiet and kept themselves to themselves. Unfortunately there are a few that play videos/take phone calls at breakfast/around the pool. Not what I would expect from a Simpson Travel hotel and could potentially be a cultural difference but does need management presence to sort as completely unreasonable to expect bar staff to manage excellent service with challenging conversations. Rooms are more tired than the photos show - they are spotless but note at £300/night they could be updated. Bathroom floods for example. There is construction work going on - in the valley - but it didn’t disturb our stay.

Positive: We stayed at the end of our greece trip for our honeymoon. The manager was so lovely he upgraded us to a penthouse suite for our honeymoon. The lit up photos of the hotel don’t do it justice. It’s really elegant, with amazing views to the water. The small village of Katouna is a short walk away with 2 delicious restaurants.

Negative: We had an issue with the air conditioner late on the first night not getting cool enough but the staff were quick to organise a fan for us that night and fixed it the next morning.

Positive: Lovely location with far reaching views. The bed was very comfortable and the place was clean and tidy.

Negative: Some of the fittings such as shower heads need replacing. The ac was a bit underpowered for the size of the room so it took some time to cool and the fridge in the room also struggled to cool drinks and water.
