Positive: Beautiful hotel and grounds and location is ideal for exploring the town. Fabulous room. Very comfortable. Breakfast very good in terms of quality.
Negative: We had given our arrival time but when we arrived there was no-one there. The door to the hotel was open and we rang the outside bell and then the bell in the hall and waited but no-one came. We waited some time before someone noticed we were there. The same happened at breakfast next morning. No-one was in the dining room. We managed to locate someone in the kitchen who then brought our pre-ordered breakfast.
Summary: Beautiful hotel and grounds, fabulous location, great value but customer service was lacking.

Positive: Loved the welcome and the room. Super views and easy walk to the town.
Negative: Disappointed with the hospitality at breakfast. There was a staff shortage and we waited close to an hour for our breakfast. The cook was vocally highly critical of her colleagues for not being in attendance, which is very unprofessional. Being in the industry myself, I could not understand why she could not cope with such a small number of guests when she had been given all of the required information in advance. The breakfast itself was not impressive, and it looked like another member of staff was brought in to serve at short notice, only to leave again soon after everyone was served. One couple walked out due to the wait, and no tables were properly cleared. When leaving, we were ignored twice by another member of staff. On another note, the bed was very creaky and uncomfortable. What a sad end to what could have been a fabulous stay.

Positive: This is such a beautiful hotel and such a beautiful place to stay. I very much enjoyed the breakfast - a lovely choice and of a high quality. What made this stay was the friendliness of the staff. Very welcoming and made us feel very special.

Positive: Nice location, lovely views, nice roomy rooms & dining room.
Negative: The shower took a while to get to the required temperature. Chairs in room not that comfortable, but these points are just us being picky.
