Positive: I had a lovely stay in Kaswa Lodge, I spent 3 nights with them. Everyone was very friendly and helpful - Asabh / Oliveal / Raymond / the guys from the farm. The food is like homemade food, excellent quality and healthy. I've been hanging out with the cows/goats every day, walking around their farm/nature which is just right outside the lodges. I didn't expect that and It's a pleasant surprise. Location is very good, 10mins away from the busy town which is perfect for me because I didn't need to go to the town, the things I wanna do were cycling around the tea plantations and walking around the nature. But if you really want to check out the town, you can just hire a boda guy (they arranged for me) which would cost you UGX 30,000 for the whole day and he will drive you around.
Summary: Looking forward to staying with Kaswa Lodge again.

Positive: Super clean, Well equiped, food decent. Polite and pleasant personell. Own cattle and goats. Has a working back up power / generator.
Negative: The lodge calls itself "mountain view" but there is no mountain view (anymore). Not any place on the property provides such a view. Location would offer it, though. But trees and plants block the sight from all the bungalows and even the deck/ restaurant. Full points If there would have been the promised/advertised mountain view.

Positive: Kaswa Lodge is conveniently situated in Fort Portal on the main route between Queen Elizabeth NP and Murchison Falls NP. The lodge is part of a dairy farm surrounded by mountains and tea estates thus creating a rolling landscape. There is a vibrant birdlife on the lodge/farm premise with the chalets surrounded by a beautifully designed garden - all adding to a pleasant stop-over .
Summary: Very clean and convenient stop-over on the main travelling route in the West of Uganda.

Positive: Quiet area, friendly staff and owner. Went above and beyond to arrange for laundry.
Negative: Would have preferred Ugandan staple foods, as it's in a region town. Flexibility about half-board arrangement (either dinner on evening of arrival or lunch on date of departure) would have been nice.
Summary: Quiet location for longer stays

Positive: We stayed here with a family of 8 for several night to visit kibale and surroundings. We had a terrific time. The place is close enough to the park, facilities are great (arguably the best shower we had in uganda), food is awesome (the advocado!) and the staff superfriendly. They will go if their way to help you out if needed. They also show you around on the farm, our kids learned to milk cows. Absolutely recommended!
Negative: Nothing
