Positive: Kaswa Lodge is conveniently situated in Fort Portal on the main route between Queen Elizabeth NP and Murchison Falls NP. The lodge is part of a dairy farm surrounded by mountains and tea estates thus creating a rolling landscape. There is a vibrant birdlife on the lodge/farm premise with the chalets surrounded by a beautifully designed garden - all adding to a pleasant stop-over .

Summary: Very clean and convenient stop-over on the main travelling route in the West of Uganda.

Positive: Quiet area, friendly staff and owner. Went above and beyond to arrange for laundry.

Negative: Would have preferred Ugandan staple foods, as it's in a region town. Flexibility about half-board arrangement (either dinner on evening of arrival or lunch on date of departure) would have been nice.

Positive: We stayed here with a family of 8 for several night to visit kibale and surroundings. We had a terrific time. The place is close enough to the park, facilities are great (arguably the best shower we had in uganda), food is awesome (the advocado!) and the staff superfriendly. They will go if their way to help you out if needed. They also show you around on the farm, our kids learned to milk cows. Absolutely recommended!

Positive: This was our favourite lodge during our trip. The lodge and rooms are very modern, new and quiet. The food was always fresh and very delicious and you could choose between many options. Thank you for the excellent service.

Positive: The location was amazing. Super quiet and with a beautiful garden with banana trees. The staff was beyond words. Especially the lady. Super helpful, nice, professional and accommodating. We had dinner at the property and the food was very good and affordable. The breakfast was also very good. It was the perfect place for us, traveling with a kid, to stay in Fort Portal. Would love to come back.

Positive: This is a good place to stop in between murchison and kibale or queen Elizabeth. The grounds are beautiful. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and professional. There is hot water in the shower.

Positive: The location ! Cottages sit on a hill, with direct views over the farm fields and the stunning sunset. The cottages are very comfortable and well equipped. Staff is incredibly friendly and will do their best to make you comfortable, while leaving you to your privacy. All farm fields are within reach and you can walk around (goats, cows, birds, and monkeys!).

Negative: Everything was great.
