Positive: We spent an unforgettable holiday in Kastro! We were welcomed by a truly warm and heartfelt family. Special thanks to Chrysa, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and caring throughout our entire stay. From the very first moment, we felt like we were visiting close relatives. Upon arrival, we found a lovely welcome gift — a bottle of wine, a homemade pie, and a jar of honey. It was so thoughtful and touching! After each cleaning, Chrysa would leave us something delicious — homemade desserts she made herself. Everything was absolutely amazing! We stayed for two weeks. The house was cleaned regularly and everything was spotless. I especially loved the beautiful, snow-white bed linens — embroidered by hand. Such details make a stay truly special. The house itself has history and soul. It’s been preserved beautifully, and staying there felt like a return to childhood — a magical and comforting feeling. The home is located in the mountains at 500 meters altitude, in one of the oldest settlements on the island — Kastro, a true piece of living history. The views around are absolutely breathtaking. There’s also a forest and a waterfall nearby (about 40 minutes on foot) — highly recommended! The village is peaceful and serene — just us, the wild goats, and local cats 😊 The sea is about a 20-minute drive away. It’s the perfect spot if you’re seeking quiet, solitude, and deep rest. And the care from Chrysa and her family made it truly unforgettable — we felt like we were staying with family. Also, the local people are incredibly sweet and kind. And here’s a lovely surprise: if you leave a tip, you may find a whole table of sweet treats waiting for you — fruit, ice cream, and traditional Greek desserts. Tip: definitely rent a car — there’s so much to explore on the island. We drove all around Thassos and loved every moment. This was honestly my best holiday ever. And of course, we didn’t leave without parting gifts from Chrysa!

Positive: This is a superb accomodation! It is located very close to the church, easy to park close to the entrance. The village is beautiful, you have a view to the sea. You can enjoy the traditional mountain atmosphere, there are freely wandering goats around, especially in the early morning you can meet them on the streets. The family owning the property is very helpful and kind, we got a welcome wine, and even a jar of honey for our kids. The house is perfectly clean, has a fully equipped kitchen, fast wifi, the bathroom is very good. It is a traditional house, beautifully renovated, with a unique atmosphere. I would say if anybody stays on the island, this place is THE perfect location to book: outside of the crowds, yet verything is reachable in 15 minutes, there are two taverns in the village, both offer tasty food, and fine greek coffee. A lot of excusions are possible, the apostels waterfall can be a full-day fun, it has nice clean water, our kids loved to play there. We already plan our next stay in this house ;)

Positive: When I´m looking for an apartment not only the accommodation is important for me but even the owners. It this case thumps up for the apartment and the LOVELY & EASYGOING landlords. The apartment offers everything you need with a touch of tradition and family history of the owners. The house is located in the heart of Thassos and the village Kastro will offer you original and interesting enlightenment on Thassos history. Nice surprise is the movable outside grill and one root the wineyard which is providing nice shadowing on the terrace during hot summer days. The owners are even producing olive oil and various bee products. One more big THANK YOU to the family, We felt much appreciated and welcome. Please, keep your hospitality even for your future guest, you are doing great job. Highly recommended!!!
