Positive: This place it’s paradise on earth. The house is really cozy and beautifully decorated. You can see beautiful green vegetation from every window and everything in this place transmits calm and invites to relaxation. The pool area is very nice to rest after a day of exploring the island and the common areas of the house are beautiful and welcoming. The house is located in Pombas, a great spot for hikings and to visit the Paul valley, in this small town there are plenty of small supermarkets and restaurants, so it’s a great base in the island. Breakfast is great, with delicious salt and sweet options, including typical pastries from the island. But the best of this accommodation is the people who runs it: Sevilla, the owner of the house is lovely, she was really friendly and she even helped us in Sao Vicente with our luggage and even drove us to the airport. Thanks so much for everything, we will be back for sure!

Positive: Very beautiful house, great and quiet location, just a few meters from the centeŕ. The swimming pool is definitely the highlight, perfect way to end the day after our hikes. Breakfast was great as well, very filling!
Negative: Our mattress and pillows were a bit uncomfortable, and the toilet was a bit stuffy and humid. Maybe we were just unlucky with the room!

From the hospitality of the local hosts (Sevilha & Noa) to the kindness of its staff (Gilda & co.), the interior and outer parts of the villa, location, neighborhood, breakfast… We can’t thank enough Casa Wahnon for being the place we proudly called “home” during our week in Santo Antao. The perfect spot from which we explored the entire island. 100% recommended, and already looking forward to be back! Always, OBRIGADA.

Positive: I loved the location – just a 5–10 minute walk from the center of Paul, yet peaceful and surrounded by nature. The house smelled clean on arrival, though I did find some long hairs in the bedroom. The mattress was new but far too firm for my comfort. The room I stayed in was extremely noisy – I could hear guests across the hall sighing, even with earplugs. Also, roosters from a nearby chicken farm crowed throughout the night. The squeaky door hinges didn’t help with sleep either. Breakfast wasn’t guaranteed but was offered on some days. It would be helpful if this were clearly communicated in advance. On days without breakfast, it would be nice to have coffee, tea, and a small bottle of cooking oil available in the kitchen. My private bathroom was only accessible via shared spaces, which affected privacy. Sometimes there was no hot water. I was also advised a local guide who wasn't transparent about his services and acted oddly when I asked about pricing. Some improvements would help: rugs or heavier curtains for better acoustics and warmth, a bit of art or color on the white walls, and anti-bird stickers on the veranda windows (as birds often flew into them). Lovely surroundings and some charming elements, but comfort and communication could be improved.

Positive: Everything was absolutely beautiful—this place is a true oasis surrounded by lush greenery. After a long hike, the swimming pool was incredibly refreshing. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful; one night, we forgot our keys, and a lady arrived promptly to assist us. The living room is bright and airy, featuring relaxing swings that add to the charm. The bedrooms, elegantly decorated in a Bali-inspired style, are right in front of the pool, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere.
