Positive: Our stay here exceeded all of our expectations and we would highly recommend to anyone travelling to El Nido. The room is very clean, we felt safe and the hosts were incredibly kind. They offered us recommendations and they were there for anything we might need. For us this hotel is in a perfect location and a plus is to getting to meet some wonderful locals on our short walk to and from town.

Positive: We stayed for two nights, and the place is clean and well taken care of. Kris and Chris are very nice; they shared their story and were always available to accommodate our needs, also providing suggestions for restaurants and tours. There are some minor improvements to be made in the room, which they are already working on, as the place is new! We even found shampoo and conditioner, very much appreciated! Prices in line with those in El Nido. We would definitely book again.

Negative: The AC was quite loud and we had some troubles with it stopping due to intermittent power, but they really did their best to fix the situation. It would be great to have at least an emergency table fan, but in our case it was luckily not the hottest time of the year. The room is close to the centre, so it’s very easy to get around on foot. However, it’s located in the old part of town, with very narrow, dark, and quite dirty streets. Very characteristic, nice people around and we felt absolutely safe, but if you don’t want your feet to get wet or dirty from all kinds of things, it’s best to wear closed shoes in the evenings. This of course doesn't depend on the owners at all, but it's good to be aware:)

Positive: We loved the location in the back alley, among the locals but may not be for everyone. The house itself is really clean and nice. Bathroom is good, with good water pressure.

Positive: Kasa Gigi is nestled in the heart of the Filipino community but it was easy to find with the help of a friendly local, who led us through the narrow alleys. For travellers with a sense of adventure who want an authentic experience it is just perfect. A warm welcome awaited from owners Chris and Kris who live at the property. They were happy to share lots of tips and information to help us make the most of our stay in El Nido. The room was a real oasis, bright, clean, comfortable and full of charm. We loved coming back here after time at the beach or in town. It's a short walk to town, you quickly learn the way through the fascinating alleys offering a glimpse of real life here. You can easily pick up a trike to take you further afield, or walk to the beach to join a boat tour. A lot of thought and care has been put into the accommodation, everything is comfortable and works well - efficient a/c, good warm shower, comfy bed. A decent fridge was helpful too . We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend.

Negative: Nothing we didn't like but a torch is helpful at night to help light your way home.

Positive: The hosts were incredible! They were very easy going and full of information regarding a variety of activities around El Nido. The room was very clean, far cleaner than the other places I had stayed at in El Nido. The room had a sailing theme where a number of authentic pieces taken directly from the hosts' sailboat were used to decorate the room. Access to the bathroom was hidden behind a full length picture of a sailboat which was a really cool touch. The WIFI worked great and there was a fridge in the room as well as a little convenience store about 20 meters away that has the coldest ice and beer around. This place is off the beaten path so you will want to follow the directions given by the hosts after you book your stay for the first time. Once you get there it is very easy to make your way back for the rest of your stay. I would definitely stay here again if I ever find myself back in El Nido.
