Summary: Communications before our stay were excellent. A very warm welcome awaited us us in a cold wet day. Check in was an easy process and everything was explained thoroughly. A really interesting hotel in a very historic building. Room was spacious and clean with an enormous bed. Good facilities in the room with a well stocked mini bar. Flowers ordered for arrival were fresh and vibrant in colour. Complementary cheese and wine were served in the covered courtyard. Very generous servings and a warm welcome from the staff. Dinner in the Tempest restaurant was great. Food was vey well presented and ideally portioned. Breakfast has many choices and again food is plentiful. Check out was swift and efficient. We will stay here again when in the Cotswolds

Summary: For the quality of the hotel we felt very let down by the catering. Not good choices on the menu and the quality of the food was not up to standard. I did have to send my meal back. However the room was very comfortable and spacious.

Summary: Lovely stay at this hotel.. excellent food... stayed in the stable block .. ok for one night a little cramped …no air con but very clean and a comfortable bed..would definitely stay again …in a different room if staying more than one night.

Summary: Guest care was at the front of their concerns. Responded appropriately and quickly to my wife’s breathing problems in the extreme heatwave. With temperatures in the high 30C our room in the original building was too hot and airless.Would return but probably not in the main building. But Praise to all the staff for making our anniversary special.
