Summary: Canel view from room is claming. Hotel is a bit aged but clean and comfy. Room is in reasonable good size for japan. Nice place for a rest.

Summary: I knew it’s a hotel with long history but I didn’t expect the rooms were so old fashioned, facilities and lightning were outdated. Dinner was served in a rush manner. Reception staff was helpful though.

Summary: Spent a pleasant solo night in one of the hotels two special rooms that comes with a personal rotenburo (open-air bath). The room was very spacious with both a western section for sleeping and a tatami section for tea, watching TV or sleeping, if you prefer a futon to western beds. The open-air bath was the perfect size for 2 people, and was a sheer joy to soak in, which I did several times during my stay. It was very easy to use the bath thanks to the automatic panel attached to both the inside of the room and outside by the bath. Please be aware, that in order to get hot water for the showerhead and the tub, you have to turn this on prior to using the water. If you want to prevent water waste, there's a re-heating function as well on the panel, which will heat it back up to the desired temperature in 10-40 minutes, depending on how long you left the water to cool down from your last soak. The Japanese breakfast was simple, but very tasty and well presented and staff was helpful from start to finish. As I have a tattoo, I did not get to try out the other baths on the 1st and 5th floor. Please be aware that you are not allowed to enter the shared baths with a visible tattoo. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
