Positive: Nice hostel, although it was fairly new, it was very well decorated, clean, has a free to use kitchen and plenty of social spaces. They also have contacts with tours for Ijen etc so might be worth booking though them!

Summary: Good, will visit again if in the area.

Positive: A whole thing. From the beginning, then until the last day that I slept. It’s so much enjoy. Especially for the friendly staffs. In fact, they’re the most friendliest staffs that I ever met while my visit in Indonesia. Especially in Malang.

Negative: What is this question. This section should be gone.

Summary: The most, extraordinary place, that I ever visit. Maybe if I had enough time again to go back to Malang. I’ll DEFINITELY

Positive: Very clean, recently renovated, helpful, cheery staff. Quiet, residential neighborhood with local restaurants and convenience stores a short walk away.

Negative: The upstairs bathroom doesn’t have a sink.

Positive: We stayed at Kalakoala having already stayed at ZZZ Ijen and had a good experience with the same company. Like ZZZ, Kalakoala is an excellent hostel with very friendly staff. It is a great place to meet new people. The facilities are good and the hostel provides straightforward access to tours of nearby attractions - Bromo, Waterfalls, Batu and national parks.

Negative: Our private room was located at the front of the hostel on the ground floor, meaning it could be quite loud throughout the day and into the night due to cars (fairly busy road) and people relaxing/passing by.

Summary: Lovely hostel in local Malang neighbourhood, with particularly friendly staff and several fun tours
