Positive: Check-in was smooth, room was spacious and clean.
Negative: There was no bathroom door, meaning that there was absolutely no privacy. The curtain didn’t fully cover the window so it was impossible to make it dark for the night.

Negative: the first 2 nights were good, nice and quiet the last night the restaurant was open and people didn't leave till 11:30, then staff cleanup etc so they didn't leave till after midnight. And there was some generator going on and off all night, so bad night . There is a question about staff, but didn't see any staff during my stay. Room was also not cleaned every day like a hotel (which was ok). This is more like an airbnb
Summary: ok and convenient for what i needed to do, but not restful if the restaurant is open

Positive: The hotel is located in the center of Kanne and easily accessible from the road. There is no noise from outside and their is a good bakery nearby. The beds were decent and there were enough towels in supplied.
Negative: The room we stayed in was not the same as we selected, we were given a room with a dark industrial like ceiling which did not please us. As the toilet part of the room was also pretty open, you had to close the curtains if you would want to go to the bathroom. There was also no shower curtain, resulting in a wet floor, and no door between the room side with the beds or toilets. As the rooms are situated above a lunch room, you need to punch in the code when you enter the premise outside of their opening hours. The main door for the entrace was quite heavy and did squeek a lot, which you could also hear in the rooms. The people working at the lunch room (most likely also the owners) did not have any information about local restaurants in Kanne and redirected only to Maastricht.
Summary: Decent location, but stay could be better

Positive: Other reviews are spot on. Really nice and clean room. Very close to Maastricht. We checked in and out after hours. Very easy access with key box and code received in advance. A little strange as you walk in right into the closed restaurant, and then onto the rooms upstairs. Sauna was awesome! They leave directions for how to turn it on. Very clear and easy. It heats up quickly and was very nice and hot. I am not sure why other hotels don’t do this. I don’t mind waiting the 15-20 mins. It gives you time to shower and clean up before, and you don’t have to fit your schedule around some brief pre-defined sauna open times.
Negative: Nothing. I would have preferred a bathroom with a door as well, but don't mind the open bathroom. It's clearly visible in the pictures, and noted in several reviews, so it wasn't a surprise.
Summary: great stay! thanks, we'll be back
