Positive: The apartment was very big with a large lounge/master bedroom with a large double bed, two sofas, an armchair, coffee table, TV with both free-to-air & subscription Danish channels, dinner table with chairs, wood burner and quaint decoration. The separate kitchen had a modern four ring induction hob, grill/oven, large fridge-freezer, kettle, microwave & coffee machine with penty of utensils. The bathroom was fairly small but had a large shower cubicle. There was also a childrens' bedroom with two bunk beds, two normal beds and a cot. There was a separate drawing room with more seating and a bar. There was a covered seating area outside where smoking was allowed and a large back garden. A drinks fridge was provided with canned soft & alcoholic drinks at a very reasonable price. The walk into town was fairly short & picturesque. The host was very friendly and made it clear that we could join the family on the terrace if we wished.

Negative: For the price, we were expecting something a little more up-market. The apartment was in the basement so there was no natural light except the ground-level windows in the lounge and the electic lighting was very poor throughout. The plumbing in the bathroom was in need of complete replacement and there were non-functional light fittings and sub-standard wiring throughout. The outside areas were also very untidy and shabby with an old washing machine and other debris lying about. There was no washing machine and no dishwasher. The whole place was very shabby internally and in need of renovation.

Summary: Large but shabby & dark - would suit a family of six rather than couples.

Positive: It was close to a lot of the activities we had planned, which was nice.

Negative: It wasn't very clean, it smelled musty, no way to dry clothes, the TV signal barely worked and the Wi-Fi didn't work in one of the bedrooms. We also found two separate dirty socks from previous guests, which was gross.

Summary: It was a place to sleep.
