I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not the most updated of houses, but adequate for our needs. Not on the beach front but close enough with the golf cart included. Perhaps because of the time of year, the mosquitoes were out of control. Dishwasher with parts of the rack rusted through completely and slow drain in one of the showers. Otherwise comfortable, good location, nice enough for the price.

The home had a few dings and empty hooks, which the office stated was due to a recent owner change. The yard desperately needs sticker treatment. My littles had their little feet stabbed inside the home. Spent at least 1.5 hours pulling stickers out of the carpet. Downstairs TV wasn't set up. Maintenance fixed it, but left no instructions, and every channel requested their actual internet login which we didn't have. Located right by the highway, but no noise inside. Golf cart and private beach access were big hits.

Reviewer Comments: Upon entering the house the smell of mold was like a punch in the face. the pots and pans provided could have easily been replaced if someone checked the condition. Pot holder covered in food, why would this not be washed with linens? Other pot holder had holes, had to be careful how pan was grabbed to keep from burning yourself. Carpets were covered in prickers from the grass, could not walk barefoot. Had to get a air mattress for the 11th person in our group. Did not provide any blankets for pull out sofas, just sheets. Food and wrappers thrown on the floor in the garage. Can provide pictures.

But first off the description was misleading because it said beachfront, but it did come with a golf cart and it wasn't far and there is also a beach access road (u can drive on beach)that you can see from backyard. The major issues were check in time was at 4, but they started cleaning at 4, so we didn't get to check in until 7:30. Then the code did not work to front door (the cleaners had originally left it open for us-thank goodness). I called about the code & was walked thru a reset, etc and still didn't work, so they said they were going to send someone out to fix & that never happened. So we had to walk around to back door which the backyard had a millon stickers, which did not make it pleasant. There are 2 pull out beds and they were not supplied with comforters, we told them about this to with no resolve. We emailed and called them several time for over a month because they told us when we checked out that we would be compensated for our troubles and this didn't happen. This is the purpose of the review. Overall it was a good stay and a great beach. Nice Golf cart. A little far from town. And Horrible Customer Service and Hospitality.

Garage had ample space to unload everything and screened in porch was nice. No water views, but the price should reflect that.

This is a cute small community of homes, well kept, and easy access to beach area/Mustang Island. Golf cart was a great amenity! Kitchen is nice, but short on cookware, etc.. (if you love to cook) The outdoor charcoal grill was not worth using. Home is also short on towels. Overall, a good value for a weekend vacation.

Kitchen was well equipped. Thermostats we’re controlled remotely and had some issues at first but were taken care of. The master bedroom did not get very warm. It was like there was no heat getting to the MB or the Master Bath regardless what the thermostat was set at. Downstairs was fine. Outside grill was pretty unusable. Trash pick up was to be each Friday. We stayed there for 5 weeks and it was picked up twice. The city was responsible for the pick up and not sure why it wasn’t. Biggest gripe was that when you read the property review you get the impression that a golf cart comes with the property. When we arrived we were told that the cart only comes with “short term rentals”. We did not see that in the property description and although I cannot prove it I believe it was added after it was brought to Management’s attention. Like I said no big deal but it would have been nice to have the cart for drives along the beach since we thought it was included. Overall the house was very comfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent a week at this house over Thanksgiving. It is a lovely home in very good shape. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice. There was a great dining table for family meals and a nice kitchen for cooking. The beach is a quick walk down the street. The golf cart made the trip even faster and enabled exploration for less mobile family members. The garage is huge and is very handy for storing items (we had hunting, fishing and kayaking gear) and made it very easy to unload groceries and bags into the house. Silver Sands was very responsive to any needs and questions. We will look forward to coming back to stay again. Note: there was no hairdryer so bring one along.
