Summary: The property is nice, but it is not really walking distance from Mammoth Village and it does not have air conditioning so our room was warm despite opening windows and using the fans. The pool was colder than expected considering it is advertised as heated. The parking is under the building, which is nice in that it is secure and away from bears, but it is a bit difficult to navigate because it is a tight space.

Summary: clean, great view. resort fee seemed excessive for a place that doesn't have anything more than a more generic hotel. gym was smaller than the typical hotel gym. parking very tight. kitchenette was nicely stocked with flatware and cooking utensils

Summary: We arrived at around 9:00 p.m., only to find that the road near the resort entrance was closed to vehicles. I had no choice but to park, get out of the car, and walk quite a long way to check in. We had originally booked a room with one queen bed and one sofa bed. At check-in, the staff member excitedly told me that our room had been upgraded to a better one. We were happy at first, but after having a late dinner and getting ready for bed, we realized that the sofa wasn't a sofa bed at all. There were three of us staying in the room—my husband, our child, and me—so we had planned for either my husband or me to sleep on the sofa bed. It was a very unpleasant surprise. By then it was already past 11 p.m., and we were too exhausted to repack everything and ask to change rooms. I ended up sleeping on the sofa, but it was so uncomfortable that my back hurt badly, and I barely slept all night. It was a terrible night.

Summary: Good hotel. They were paving the front entrance so we had to park on the street and walk 200 yards to entrance. No a/c in rooms but it was not too bad with windows open at night. Property seemed nice. Was only there for 1 night.

Summary: Have stayed at the Juniper Springs each summer for many years now. Typically a very good experience (or we wouldn't be coming back!) This year however, the check-in process was not seamless. There was only one person staffing the desk, and when a second person came to help, there were at least five people behind us. We had waited at least 10 minutes and others were waiting longer. Check in staff very friendly, nonetheless. After checking in, we tried calling the front desk from the room, but were put on hold indefinitely. We then went to the front desk to ask our question and even though staff were putting people on hold, they were not getting back to the calls. JS needs more check-in staff for a smoother process, or at the very least someone dedicated to taking phone calls. I found the first thirty minutes of our stay to be quite frustrating and this is NOT how anyone wants to begin a vacation. We also needed a luggage cart, but none were anywhere to be found. When we asked a staff member, he indicated we'd have to once again wait in line for a front desk staff member to assist. We opted to carry everything by hand as the line was still very long. Lastly, the fire alarm went off at 1:00AM and the entire building had to evacuate. We stood outside and waited 40 minutes for the fire department to come and clear us to go back inside. For $360 a night, this is a big problem and we will first check other lodgings for future stays in Mammoth Lakes.

Summary: Staff was great! Rooms are hit and miss. I got one with unacceptable patio furniture -two barstools with peeling paint and disintegrating wood. It was so bad, it was comical. Like college students pulled it out of a dumpster. Asked for replacement or simple plastic chairs please, but nothing resort staff could do. It’s up to each unit owner to keep up their unit, they said. They shouldn’t rent out subpar units, makes the resort look bad.

Summary: Juniper Springs was a great place for our family to stay! From the friendly check-in with Lottie and the helpful assistance from Joy, the service was exceptional. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect and has beautiful views. We will certainly stay here again!

Summary: This was a fabulous place to stay! The staff, especially Joy, were super helpful and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and areas of interest. Each condo, I understand, is individually owned, but the one we stayed in was lovely, clean, and comfortable. Juniper Springs is centrally located and makes it easy to get to all of the lakes and areas around Mammoth. The only thing is there is no air conditioning, but the resort provides fans, and with ceiling fans, and leaving the windows open at night, we were comfortable. We would absolutely stay there again!
