Prior to arrival, we specifically communicated our for the room setup, but none of these requests were acknowledged or fulfilled. The staff interaction, especially during check-in, was somewhat awkward and lacked the genuine warmth and friendliness we’ve experienced at neighboring resorts. Given that we were traveling with a young baby, we expected a more attentive welcome. However, I must acknowledge one member of staff who thoughtfully gifted our son a camel toy several days into our stay. It was a kind gesture, though it highlighted further the missed opportunity by the original check-in team to create a positive first impression. The room itself was well-equipped with kitchen utensils but lacked a basic item—a chopping board—which was quite inconvenient. It’s surprising that such a simple yet essential tool was overlooked in the room’s setup. Our primary reason for choosing this hotel was to enjoy the facilities, particularly the pool area. Unfortunately, the main pool was out of service during our stay, and we discovered upon arrival that children are not permitted in the rooftop pool. Summary: The hotel itself is beautiful, and the service during our stay was pleasant. We had booked half board, but arrived late on the first day (10 PM), after all restaurants had closed. To make up for the missed dinner, the hotel offered a complimentary room service meal, which we appreciated. However, we were later shocked to find 480 AED (approx. €120) charged to our bill for that very meal. We had written confirmation via WhatsApp from the hotel’s e-butler that it would be free of charge. Since then, we’ve sent eight emails to resolve the issue — attaching all evidence — but have received no response whatsoever, even three weeks after check-out. This lack of communication and accountability from such a high-end hotel is extremely disappointing and has left us with a very negative final impression.
