Positive: My stay at Joy to Wadi Rum was perfect and very pleasant. The staff, especially Zayed and Hamad Eid, were always kind and helpful. The camp is simple and reasonably priced, and above all, it is very well located. The breakfast is excellent and the breakfast room is beautiful and enjoys an incredible view of the desert. Furthermore, you can easily get around from this hotel. A round of applause for this hotel and in particular for Zayed, who was kind and solved all my little problems in a flash! Thank you again, I will be back very soon.

Negative: Once you've completed your booking on Booking.com, a lengthy negotiation follows, explaining that there's a fee for pickup from the Wadi Rum visitor center, unless you're taking a desert tour with them. The negotiation is based on the number of hours and additional paid services, which explains why the price for food and accommodation is initially so low. In any case, it's part of the Bedouin culture of the desert, so this negotiation can also be an interesting experience.

Positive: Perfect Geographical situation within the Wadi Rum protected area Bedouin owners (father and his two sons) have been fabulous Camp is at the base of a mountain offering a fabulous 180 degrees view Perfect Afternoon activities (4 hours) Best Quality price camp and you have hundreds in this area.

Negative: For the price by night in December (2025), around 20 euros by room with dinner and breakfast included, we can't expect the perfect cleanliness of the tent. Bed sheets were dirty as other travellers slept before us. But look, you are in the middle of the Wadi Rum desert, you have a fabulous tent with a terrific view so we can't complain.

Summary: Best Quality / Price camp. Warm welcome from traditional Bedouins, owners of the camp.

Positive: Awesome tent with huge windows and amazing view of Wadi Rum! The traditional Bedouin dinner was delicious too. The owner was so friendly and we were able to split up our tour to do a couple of hours in the evening and see sunset and then the rest the next morning, which suited our plans perfectly.

Positive: The tent was exactly as on pictures here. Very spacious, luxurious, with fantastic view. If you book a trip with them, all transfers to the Wadi Rum village and back are free. I took a 4 hour jeep tour, then 1 hour camel ride, good many good memories. You have water, tea, shampoo and toilet paper there, so no need to bring any with you. The food was delicious and diverse. I really loved how the cooked Zarb, traditional food. Everyone was welcoming, in the evenings we gathered near the fire and had a lot of tea, shared stories, made friends. Internet is unstable, but still impressive to have it in the middle of the desert.

Negative: The ventilation in the bathroom was very loud, but maybe i just didn't know how to turn it off for night.

Positive: We had an awesome stay in Wadi Rum. Reid and Naif organized everything excellent and were always willing to help us. Since we booked our stay, Reid communicated with us and answered our doubts immediately. The rooms were spacious, clean and with an increidible view. Breakfast and dinner was included in our plan, and they were very delicious. We traveled with our two children (4 and 2 years old) and they enjoyed every moment with our hosts. It was very cozy and we felt like in home. Naif is very charismatic and was a great guide during our tour through the desert. If we come back to Wadi Rum, we will definitely stay with them once again.

Positive: The location of the camp is excellent, offering more privacy as it’s slightly more hidden and isolated than other camps, allowing for a truly immersive desert experience. We stayed in the tent with a glass view, and it was absolutely stunning—the view was breathtaking! The tent was equipped with an en-suite bathroom with hot water, and everything, including the water pressure, worked perfectly. Eid and Zayef both speak English and were wonderful hosts—kind, friendly, and attentive. They prepared delicious meals over the fire under the starry sky and during our desert day trip. The tour itself was an incredible experience, giving us the opportunity to connect deeply with the Bedouin community.

Negative: There’s nothing I didn’t like.
