Summary: My friend and our four kids thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was beautifully cosy and there were plenty of facilities available to the kids. The owner/manager was always on hand to help us out if we needed anything. There were also a number of places of interest to visit, including the fire tower and the camp site where you can see wallabies (and platypus if you're lucky - we weren't!).

Summary: To be honest we were looking for something a little more up market for our long weekend away with my family and my sister's family but most places were booked out. This place exceeded our expectations and turned out to be exactly what we all needed. A quiet bush retreat with beautiful walks close by - easy enough for the youngest member of our family to handle without complaining (6 years old), as well as the convenience of the old school facilities - tennis /basket ball court, playground equipment and oval to kick a footy. We made use of everything, including the DVD player, BBQ under the house and the fire pit. It was cool overnight (August) but the living room heated up nicely and the beds had electric blankets which was a novelty for the kids. The kitchen table comfortably seated our group of 7 and the cooking facilities were adequate. The manager Pete was on hand to greet us on arrival and had vast knowledge of the history of the area and the surrounding walks. For my sister and I who grew up in an old weatherboard country house of a similar age it felt very nostalgic to stay in the old principal's house. For my husband who grew up in Tokyo - it was a novel experience.
