Summary: The site needs to be updated about all the new stuff that is happening with this home. It now has an upper deck off the game/lounge area near the master bed room. The deck gives more wanted afternoon shade on the lower deck and in the the evening the upper deck is a great star gazing location. Some of the trees near the wonderful fire pit have been removed so you can see and hear the Jemez better. I love the two person swing chair as well as the hammock both of which are shaded under the cottonwoods. I did relocate one of the fire pit's Adirondack chair so that it was right next to the Jemez where I could relax with my book next to all the babbling and burbling. The kitchen is well laid out and has everything you need to prep and cook your meal ingredients with ease. The barbeque on the lower deck was great. If being surrounded by nature is not quite your thing then the internet access and big tv will probably work for you. The master bedroom bath area has a walk-in shower so nice plus there. I love that the low storage room behind the master bed is designated "the Bear Cave" for any adventurous kids(or adults). I spent both nights with the fire pit operating. It would be a great place to tell ghost stories while eating smores and looking into the dark woods on the other side of the Jemez. I wish to thank the host personally for letting us stay latter on Sunday because there were no Sunday afternoon guests. Getting to sleep in and enjoy the yard a little bit more was an incredible gift.

Summary: A lovely house in a beautiful setting, right by the Jemez River. Everything was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied and we appreciated the many amenities, such as coffee and teas. An upper and lower deck allowed enjoyment of the river and the red rock cliffs. Many fun touches such as the drums, the foosball and other games, and the Bear Cave! We wished we could have stayed longer.

Summary: Updates to the site are needed because the house now has a deck on the upper level so there is more shade on the back lower deck and it is also a spectacular location to star watch from. Everything was great. Kitchen was well laid-out and fully equipped to easily make your own dinner along with a gas barbeque outside the living room. The upper level also has a game/lounge area off of the main bedroom(king bed) and a very modern bath with a walk-in shower. In the back yard there is a two person swing as well as a hammock under the cotton-wood trees. I did move one of the Adirondack chairs so I could sit close to the Jemez Creek but I left the other two chairs next to the fire pit and had it fired up both of our evenings there. If you want those things related to civilization the large screen tv and internet access will make being surrounded by nature less scary. Thanks for letting us do a late check-out so we could sleep in a little later on Sunday morning. I had a great time relaxing with coffee next the Jemez and it being only an hour from Albuquerque is a huge incentive to book again.

Summary: Quaint. Cozy. Beautiful scenery at every turn! The cabin had everything we needed for a week's stay. With the Jemez River right out the front door and the fenced yard , we felt like we were a world away! Very relaxing!

Summary: This house is one of the most special places I have ever stayed. The host is very communicative put great thought into planing and designing everything with love to the smallest detail. We were so fortunate to spend our 30th wedding anniversary here. The sound of the River is so tranquil and you can’t beat the hammock. We would definitely love to come back sometime.

Summary: This is a lovely home right at the edge of the river, below red rock cliffs - a gorgeous setting! The home is comfortable, very clean, the kitchen is well supplied, with many amenities such as coffees and teas. Upper and lower decks add to the enjoyment of the scenery. We wish we could have stayed longer!
