Positive: Everything. This is a beautiful lodge. Views are amazing. Very friendly owners . No need to go anywhere else just chill on the decking or in the hot tub. Watch the birds and swans on the lake . Will be back.

Positive: Everything! A little piece of paradise. Gorgeous lodge with easy parking next to its own private lake with lovely woodland and rural land around. Lodge was very clean and comfortable with all amenities including separate utility hut with mini-freezer, washer etc. Bea met us and had kindly provided us with a welcoming bottle of fizz. Loved that the lodge had air con, which was needed the weekend we stayed! We loved the huge windows overlooking the private lake. The decking is spacious with comfortable patio furniture, loungers. The hot tub was amazing! We popped in and out throughout our stay as there is lighting around decking at night too. But the real jewel of our stay was the view of the private lake! Just gorgeous! Swans, ducks, coot with baby coots as well as also seeing lots of other wildlife around (we saw rabbits, hares, a stoat, a deer, buzzards around the lodge). You can walk around the lake and explore the little islands and also row around the lake. We also loved unexpectedly bumping into the automated robot lawnmower as it busily wanders all around the lake - such a character! We had a lovely meal at the Duke of Wellington pub nearby and lunch with a view at Bywell Coffee Barn but we the rest of the time we popped into Waitrose in nearby Hexham to bring back supplies as we couldn’t tear ourselves from the lodge and lake! As many people have said, the photos don’t do it justice! With the weather we had, we felt like we were in the South of France - not Northumberland! We definitely plan on returning!

Positive: The cabin is beautifully done and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Bea and Will were brilliant hosts I have no words for the location and the view of your very own lake - magical 💖 and the wildlife surrounding the area - amazing!

Positive: A perfect patch of heaven, beautiful cabin in a stunning location. The hot tub overlooking the lake was just blissful! Will and Bea could not have been more accommodating, even bringing us some rice when we realised we hadn't brought any to save a trip to the shop!

Positive: What wasn't there to like. It was so peaceful, what a view of the lake to wake up too. A little walk to a pub that did great food if you dont fancy cooking. For you book readers, theres a little telephone box that has a exchange a book idea. So my partner took advantage of reading a book she probably wouldnt of picked from a shop and sat by the lake reading.
